Why should a Pro Bowl/All Pro level veteran waste their time with that. Let the rookies, UDFA, and young guns on the squad get those extra reps so they can improve to the point where they can contribute.

Yeah. Allen already said that whomever didn't attend OTA's had legitimate reasons ... not that any was required. They discussed this topic this morning on NFL Radio and said that they'd just as soon the vets didn't show up if there was continuity in scheme because it just added to the chances of injury. They even said mandatory mini-camp isn't that critical for those same players. Just show up at training camp ready to go.
