The civil case is still open or in progress and Watson is still dismissive and 'standing on innocence'. Suddenly in the midst of playoff positioning you're prompted to change to a 200 million dollar QB who hasn't played in 2 years. Very few people in the media, fan base and locker room will be accepting of Watson. Watson and the Browns management will be out on a limb in the middle of a tsunami.
