Re: Ian Book headed to Philly also
He was really good at developing Drew....drafting a QB not so much. He always looked for rookie QB's to develop in his mold as a player, which wasn't that good. He may not have been the best QB but he is one of the most creative play callers in NFL history.

Re: Ian Book headed to Philly also
Ian Book was actually a fairly decent prospect. The problem I see with him is he plays scared and it's difficult to develop a guy once that happens.

I didn't watch the Eagles preseason games, but what I read is he was very indecisive and really looked bad. Guys who are backups need to make the most of their opportunity when they get it and unfortunately Book hasn't done that so far.

Covid, no oline, played with “backups” etc
Ian Book simply isn’t good enough at this level. Eagle rookie (6th rd) QB Tanner McKee looked solid in pre season & with 3’s. Bad scouting by the Saints. It happens 🤷🏼. |
