Ownership should take action based on their information and what they're comfortable with. I may not like it but that's fact.

My hope - as a fan - would be to move on from anyone who's a danger to the team or society.

Sharper allegations came after he played in New Orleans.

Kamara, although I don't agree with his actions, is his first offense.

Jameis was accused yes. I can't recall the facts or whether or not it was settled.

Lattimore never pointed his gun at anyone. Allegedly.

Brees was a victim of timing. That same statement wouldn't get him crucified if Kaepernick had never knelt.

One could argue that the NFL is no more shady than society as a whole. We are talking about 53 roster players and an additional 16 on the practice squads per franchise. That makes 2,208 players that are actively rostered at any one time across the league. I'd venture to guess that if you took a random sampling of 2,208 individuals of the same demographic makeup as NFL players you would discover just as many nefarious rascals, if not many more, than you would find in the NFL.

It's not about the behavior, it's the response (or lack of) that gives the NFL it's notoriety.

This Saints organization claims to be the exception to the rule. We'll see.

I agree with all this. Except Brees wasn't a victim of timing. He was a victim to how stupid our society got and gets. A country full of people that don't like when you stand up for your country. How ironic. A country full of people too afraid to say enough is enough because they don't want to get banned, or shamed or canceled.

Brees wouldn’t have been crucified if that happened today. Things were volatile back then. It was a knee jerk reaction to what was going on at the moment. Even later that year other players made the same statement and everything was fine.

More good news!

Well, it looks like Maye's issues have been dropped. I can't see any suspension occurring now.

Guilty until proven innocent I guess.
