I maybe in the minority on this one, but I don't blame the fumble on Ingram.

He wasn't holding the ball like a loaf of bread; IIRC he had both arms around the ball. The defender just made a good play.

A players first job is to protect the ball and fumbles are always preventable.
If Mark holds himself accountable, who am I to argue?

If you rewatch it he had a loaf of bread in one arm as he was being tackled when he got stripped. See image attached, that’s when he fumbled, bread in the left arm, right hand not securing the ball.

Nah don't rest him.
Bench him completely.

If the man was truly injured last week, he shouldn’t have played today.

Isn’t that the reason you signed a quality #2 in Dalton this off season?

You sign Dalton in case your starter cannot play. You play him then IF your starter cannot play OR IF you believe that backup can play better than your starter (injured or not). Perhaps what they have seen in practice doesn't give them that confidence.

Sticking to "supporting your starting QB at all costs" although it is clear (at least apparent to 99.9% of us) for everyone that a hurt QB will hurt the team.

But I digress ;).
