Do you rest Winston?

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/jameis-...190220087.html

If Jameis is still off because of his back issues, do you sit him for a couple of weeks and give him a chance to heal? I'm fairly certain he wants to play, but if he's your starter and he's not 100%, do you let him go anyway?

(I know. I know. Some of y'all want him benched regardless. I'm talking about a coaching decision gamet time.)

I think if he was hurt to the point where he couldn't play, he would have(or should have) been pulled in the 4th quarter last week. It's probably manageable and not as serious as it sounds. If it is, there are people that should question if the medical field is right for them.

Let's just hope he has a big game this week so all the noise can quiet down a bit... at least for a week.

I can't pretend I'm not intrigued about seeing what Andy Dalton could do with all the weapons we have. However, he's been known to be an interception machine as well throughout this career. Jabo has earned the right to go out there and prove last week was just an off week and that he can get back on track.

Yes - if he's injured, have a seat and get healthy.

Dalton is more than capable vs the Panthers & Seahawks.

There is no way we should be performing this badly on offense with the aforementioned weapons we have.

I think it is impossible to answer that question without having access to all of the decision making information. But, ...

IF one sees in practice daily that Dalton is clearly performing better, then yes, sit Winston.

IF the medical team says that the injury will prevent Winston from being able to perform as well as Dalton, then yes, sit Winston.

IF Winston has any doubts concerning his ability to perform, then yes, sit Winston.

Otherwise, go with the player that those "in the know" feel gives them their best shot at winning.

IDK, maybe again I’m being optimistic, but Inthink a big part of the “poor” performance can be explained by playing a VERY good Tampa D. They’ve shut down the Saints and Dallas…2 teams that were expected to have good Offenses.

Winston didn’t get a lot of preseason work with the WRs. Kamara didn’t play. If Ingram doesn’t fumble at the 10 we punch it in and it’s a different ballgame. Can’t overreact to a close loss to a league darling when the refs are screwing you.

Andy Dalton had six starts last season with the Bears. He had 8 TD's and 9 picks. He averaged 189.4 ypg passing and was sacked 18 times. He had his career low QB rating at 76.9 and 2nd highest sack rate. While he's better than Siemian and Book, he certainly is no longer anything to write home about.

All very true.

Think you need to consider the OL's he played with. Isn't Burrow getting sacked
quite a bit in Cincy and he has better weapons than Dalton had. If i was coaching Sunday, Winston better show me something in the first half or he's benched until healthy. I do think he was trying to do to much due to playing the team that let him go but man he made some bad decisions with the ball. He's got the first half against Carolina for me to keep him in.

While I agree with you on some points, his decision making is what was worrisome. He sucked balls. Spade a spade bro.
