Let's Talk Trade Deadline

It’s been mentioned, but quite a few players are untradeable for all practical purposes. That’s due to future dead money. Latt, Kamara, Ram, Thomas CAN’T NOT be on the team for a few years. It cripples the team in dead money plus no team is gonna trade for their contracts. At least not and offer fair trade value.

I'm not in favor of gutting the roster. It's time to let Michael Thomas go. We've been stuck in neutral with him. It's time to move on from him. Anyone who looks like they are not engaged should go too.
Sean didn't do us any favors by 1. Leaving and 2. Not drafting Drew's replacement.

I think getting rid of MT results in $38 million in dead cap.

Not Only that rez, but any team trading for a thomas is taking on a 23 mill cap hit next year AND a 24 mill the year after. That’s for a guy who hasn’t hardly played in 2 years. Who is going to trade assets to take that contract?

It is what it is. Saints have invested in core group of players that are not able to stay on the field. If they can ever get on the field together there is a solid foundation there. We gotta hope so because that’s where we are.

Coaching must improve. Game planning, focus & discipline (foolish penalties & turnovers). What does Prime always preach to his student athletes? .."practice with a purpose". IMO losing Ceedy, Malcolm Jenkins (retired) & Marcus Williams was a big deal on defense.

I don't see much chemistry on the back end with Maye & HB.

Despite all the aforementioned problems, the Saints are still in the hunt for the NFC South... Incredibly!

According to NFL Network, Loomis wants a trade package similar to CMC for Alvin Kamara.

Wonder if any team would bite. It'd be interesting for a team within Super Bowl reach.
