You are just supporting what I am saying. I was giving an example of Gardner-Johnson's ability to cause trouble. I said there was an incident that was started by Gardner-Johnson. Now exactly where in this post today did I say there was still an issue with that old incident?

Let's not forget that he was the one that egged Thomas on until he snapped in practice. Yes, he's got an edge we liked, but sometimes those edges slice both ways.

But hell, I can't even blame Philly's GM (Howie)for making the call.

That team wants another ring.

Financial speaking, the cap hit would be ridiculous.
Yup. Exactly how does eating over $25M in dead cap over the next two years help the Saints financially?

At the age of 23? I'm no accountant however he wouldn't cost (conditional pick at best) a whole lot & we don't have much behind Kamara.

IMO Mark is running on fumes. Not a lot of productivity anymore & he's fumbling. Akers could lighten up the load & get a lot more touches than what he's getting out in LA.

Not to mention AK still has legal issues.

And I agree with the others, we could really use more DLine/pass rush help. We'll see.

He tore his Achilles in preseason last year. He came back in record time before the end of the season last year, and looked horrible then and in his limited play this season. I doubt the Rams find a trading partner, and wouldn't be surprised if he ever plays a meaningful down in the NFL again. I guess we'll have to see how it plays out.

Yup. He's started seven games over his two and a half year career. He's averaged under three yards per carry over the past two seasons. He had a promising start in the second half of 2020 and the playoffs, but hasn't done anything of note since then. It not looking real promising.

Wow. But is it Cam or McVay? Rushed back to play perhaps?

If I had a choice, I'd take a flyer on a player a decade younger than Ingram. For a 6th or 7th round pick ? ... I would.

At the end of the day, I'm just a couch coach so what the hell do I know .

I have a feeling if that's all they wanted, he would have been traded by now. But I'm in the same boat as you as far as being a couch coach.

I have a feeling they'd jump all over a 7th but haven't gotten the interest. They may end up releasing him after the deadline if nobody bites.

I would pick up Tevin Coleman, now, I would also like to see Akers in a Saints uniform. I'm still saying trade Kamara for picks, he's gonna be out for at least 6 games next season anyway. Use those picks on a qb and a real TE
