Well, when you consistently put up ridiculous numbers every Sunday, I can see why the praise is HIGH on Patrick Mahomes.

30/8, almost 4k passing yards & completion percentage of 66%.

I love Josh Allen but give me Patrick.

Damn you Sean Payton ... so close.

Speaking of former 1st round QBs, I see the Panthers are set to release Baker Mayfield. Coming out of OU, I was really high on him.

Searching for the next great NFL QB is very difficult to find.

The Saints need to find a way to win tonight. On the road. No silly penalties, false starts, or offsides & win the turnover battle.

No excuses.

Hopefully, the COACHES (and yes, the HEAD COACH) have made whatever adjustments that needed to be made this week, to coordinate and COACH our team to a WIN tonight.

Now if the backups can actually execute without false starting. Honestly, at this point the only surefire "adjustments" the coaches can hope to make is to adjust the starting lineup with actual starters. The only way to keep Throckmorton from moving prior to the snap is to nail his ass to the bench.

I'm hoping that our COACHES (and HEAD COACH) ran practice during the week, to "adjust the starting lineup" to keep players from moving prior to the snap, fumbling, or having to have asses nailed to the bench.

I'm quite sure our coaches run practice every week and stress those very things. Once the player takes the field it's all on them.

Well COACHED players will take the field, fully prepared to WIN. Well COACHED players don't lose their skill and ability to execute, between practice and game time, unless they are not well COACHED. We'll see what happens.

You are assuming the players at fault actually have the skill and ability to execute. In the case of the number one perpetrator of the false start, Throckmorton, I seriously doubt that's the case. The greatest coach alive can't turn Throckmorton into Jahri Evans. Or for that matter even into Andrus Peat.

The (good) COACH'S JOB is to make sure we aren't even having this conversation about HIS players.

If the Coach's job is to stand on the sidelines and say, "I'm not responsible for the train-wrecks (and the losses, week after week) on the field at game time", then the game has changed since I was a youngster. Call me an old fart.
