-Defense played a great game but didn't get it done when it counted.

-Ingram essentially ended his career with that sorry effort. Sure, he will likely finish the year, but I see no one picking him up next year. Looks like a "business decision" that may have backfired.

-Andy Dalton, not blaming this game on him, but overall a very decent backup type of QB who can get it done in at times but not consistently.

-AK needs to be done as a primary running back. Use him as a pass catching RB with a few runs in space sprinkled in and he may get back to greatness again.

My Post Mortem Loss Observations:

The Uppers
-Shaheed is our blazer on downfield routes. The only thing stopping him was AD's short armed passing!
-Taylor is a gem! A little more polish and he's a star!
-We got the Good Lutz this game instead of the Evil Lutz.
-Olave! Olave! O-La-Ve!!!!

The Downers
-The Bobbly Boops (aka Dropsies). We score when we catch those balls and we win.
-O line miscues. We're in week 13 and STILL have missed pass blocking assignments? WTF guys!!!!
-Call the NOPD because I'm tired of witnessing the ongoing crime of the Kamara abuse on offense!
-Stop calling AD the 'Red Rifle'. He's a 'Red Ryder BB Gun' on deeper routes. He's visibly tentative on throwing 15+ yds.
-Let's give single man coverage of Evans to our 2nd best DB with the game on the line! That is absolute GENIUS!!!
-While we're at it, let's keep a 4 man rush on TB to make sure he has PLENTY of time to find a receiver when he has to throw it!

Mixed Bag
-Taysom is NOT a surprise at QB anymore. Put him in a slot and let him disrupt. Also, two gloves would have probably helped him hold the ball...
-Less Penalties helped. Refs started calling the TB holding (which was going on ALL game) late in the game for some reason.
-AK looks ...tired.

But when the players make critical, dumb mistakes across the board …

How deflating. Brady was throwing fits all night long. It's fun watching a grown man on another team show so much frustration throughout a game. Then... the Saints pissed their pants. After the PI to get TB to the Saints goal line I knew it was over. Sad times.


By the way:
Mark Ingram--7 carries for 27 yards = 3.9 yards a carry
Alvin Kamara--12 carries for 26 yards = 2.2 yards a carry
Yes coaching is an issue but Kamara looks lifeless out there.

I said before that I don't believe that DA needs to be fired even though I don't think he's our coach. This is because I don't think our problems are his fault. Now last night...I take it all back. Piss poor.

Just some random thoughts...

Why is Ingram still on this team? We should take a hard look at Gibbs and Achane draft wise.

Dalton should be re-signed as our primary backup next season.

Michael Pennix Jr. has a lot of Jalen Hurts in him IMO. Someone to keep an eye on next season.

Loomis you suck. Your decisions sucks. Your decisions to let others make decisions suck.

Whoever that will be in charge of trading Payton, please don't **** that up.

Ok Alontae Taylor, I see you.

Damn Jarvis, that's a catch you make 9.9 out of 10 times.

I was fine with Allen getting the job as I felt he earned it. Now, well, that's changed. The energy there just ain't right. The organization needs a shot of adrenaline and a re-boot.

The thing is that he could've pretty much gotten the 1st without taking a hit by just extending the ball forward, but instead he just ran out of bounds with the ball tucked away.

Clean house … Thomas, Kamara, Ingram, Winston, Honey Badger, Peet, Davenport and Coaching Staff Top down cypher which coordinators deserve a shot at staying. Obvious continuity in the staff was not the ticket.

Keep the young foundational players, we have key players on both sides of the ball. Next year could be ugly but what could possibly be uglier than this mess of talent with undeveloped and unrealized potential.

Trade for what you can reasonably expect in the market and eat all the dead money possible.

Start with an offensive minded coach and offensive coordinator that has the ability to identify what is not working, versus what is working and go with the offensive flow that is producing results. Run first for 2.5 yard average and stay behind the chains is just downright stuck on stupid. How about try throwing the run game into a position that the box is not stacked every time you broadcast a run is coming.

AD in all these 3rd and long situations that don’t succeed is not an AD problem is a game play calling failure. AD made some good key throws only to be dropped … sorry no excuses here.

Lot of HIGH DOLLAR players in key position are non factors and non producers for whatever reason … they need to be … GONE!

If this off-season is not very very interesting in the Saints Organization I probably will be out of NFL football … so many issues with the overall state of the game from officiating to increased commercial airtime interrupting the game flow, the ridiculous postering and displays of disrespect.

Been a fan since 67 was in the seats at Tulane Stadium but watching NFL football for over 50 years the game since Gotohel took over make this game that I have loved almost not watchable non withstanding the issue with the Saints team and coaching staff.

Speaking of Tulane, they have had quite the rebound this year. Maybe they are using up all of the NOLA mojo and there's none left for the Saints LOL.

Did Sean Payton rip out the page of the iPad that had screenplays? WTSeriousF!!!

Dalton did really well with the exception of taking that sack instead of throwing it away (again).

Pete Carmichael has to go because he's either incapable of being "Sean Payton-like" or he is afraid of being called "Sean Payton-like". The 3rd down with Hill and Merritt being the only route runners should have gotten him a pink slip right on the spot. Let alone the 3rd and 1 and with Calloway being the "go-to" guy for the slant route. Personnel groupings for each play is utterly nonsensical.

And DA should focus on Defense Coordinator, he's phenomenal.

But overall "Leadership Skills" for the team right now can best be described with one word, FECKLESS.
