If the NFL was classified as a sport, with individual teams competing against each other, they could be charged under antitrust laws for fixing games. But being classed as a form of entertainment, the teams are technically working in unison for entertainment purposes, so it's perfectly legal for the NFL to fix a game. Always keep that in the back of your mind.
Therein lies the problem. This is not a sport! It is only entertainment and once people realize that then watching the NFL rig the games will just be normal. I don't watch football anymore besides my beloved Saints because the game is Just unwatchable. Between the never ending and expanding commercials, the uneducated announcers, and the inept referees make this game unwatchable! I still don't understand how people can bet on entertainment. Do people still bet on WWE? It's probably safer than betting on the NFL.
Sinner and Boston Saint like this.
