We constantly work on making refs better and will retrain most rugby refs annually. I've been a ref coach for over twenty years. Even the good refs still need to learn to the new laws of the game. In short we invest in referees but the NFL still refuses to do that! And yes, we play by our own laws in rugby. Not rules. We never play by the rules. ![]() |
