I've actually come to the conclusion that Michael Thomas will probably be here next year because it is too expensive to cut him. When he's healthy he's a beast! Chris olave and Rashid Shahid would pair up quite nicely with Michael Thomas working the underneath routes.

I expect no less. Money means nothing when it comes to compassion. There's currently over way 300 players in the NFL on IR and all of them are getting paid, but I'll guarantee you every last one of them would rather be on the field doing what they love rather than having to work their asses off trying to go through recovery to get back to their true passion.

That's why I expect the brilliant Loomis to once again convert Thomas' base salary of $15.5 million and his roster and workout bonuses of 950K to signing bonuses to free up cap to help make another run for the championship in 2023.
You have said you are old and expect to croak very soon and can’t hold out for a rebuild. I hope you live longer than you expect. But I don’t want to turn this franchise into the biggest joke in the nfl because you are biased by your health concerns. You may outlive Michael Thomas. Lots and lots of nfl careers of big stars have ended with chronic injury at many positions. None have recovered from injury over 40 of 50 games. Its just not gonna happen. Focus on your own heath. I am sure there are lots of precedents for people your age living long enough for a football rebuild, yet you insist on Mikes hopeless cause not your own hopeful one.

Don't worry about me. I plan to live well into my 90's. You should see that peering into your crystal ball. Yes, lots of NFL careers of big stars have come to an end because of chronic injuries. But, I haven't heard that the two totally unrelated injuries (left ankle and toe on right foot) suffered by Michael Thomas can be classified as "chronic". It has been stated many, many times before that the NFL is a 100% injury business. Every player is going to experience injuries at some point or other in their careers. Nobody besides the good Lord above has any clue as to when and/or how long they may last. Every indication is that Thomas is well underway on his recovery from this last surgery and there is no reason he won't be as unstoppable moving forward as he was in the first two games of this season prior to the unexpected injury.

Yet, I always want to win now. The economic structure being used by our front office gives us the best opportunity to remain relevant each and every year. I understand you have a differing opinion of how that should work, but fortunately it looks like nothing you can say or do will change that direction. Once we get by this stretch of bad injury luck and settle into a competent starting QB we should be challenging for the title again.
