The argument to if the NFL has a heavy interest to a predetermined outcome can clearly be viewed in this video. The player asked the ref am I ok and the ref give him the thumbs up. You can see the ref going for his flag immediately after the 👍, pulled hold, pull hold. Then the instant the ball is snapped the is coming out.

This weekend was full of examples of truly bad calls that even with pretty telling video to change the call NYC /Goodell hell tight. All these ref assisted calls change the outcome of the game.

It’s beyond BS at this strange of game with the technology available to make sure the right call is made. That it has not changed all clearly gotten worse is an indictment of the NFL/Goodell/Owners approving of the current status of officiating.

SP forced a change briefly to enable teams to challenging and review of all PI calls they did not overturn a single PI call during the one season it was in place. Then used their inaction in not overturning PI after the season to dropped the PI Challenge.

Probably not a whole lot since it would have to be a team that could take the cap hit for us.

I believe it's us that would be taking the cap hit if we for some reason chose to trade him. $25.452 million in dead cap.

I was under the impression that the other team could pick that up too? I might be wrong but didn't the Browns do something like that a couple years back?

I would think a team would have to be pretty desperate to take on a 25 million contract and an injured player who has not played but a few games in the last 3 years now.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. So, you just never know what a team will do. Especially the Browns.

Speaking of (ex)Falcons, Matt Ryan is back at it. This time with the Colts against the Vikings.

Nope. Dead cap is the accounting for monies already spent in terms of bonuses and such. It is already on the team's books and cannot be transferred. Team can, however, negotiate the future base pay, but that already goes with the player to the new team. The trading team can, and has, agreed to cover part of that pay to move the player. That's not what you were hoping. I believe that's what you were thinking about in that Browns deal. Was it with the Texans, perhaps? It was a QB.

Okay. Found what I was thinking about.

Texans trade Brock Osweiler, 2018 second-round pick to Browns

The Texans were trying to dump future guaranteed salary, not dead cap.
