As we saw with Baker Mayfield this year and Jameis Winston last year, you never know what a QB guru genius head coach can do with a gift athlete top pick QB. But Dennis Allen is no guru. He is a poor mans matt Rhule and Zach Wilson is a poor mans Winston/Mayfield. If we bring in Zach Wilson and commit to him, whoever we trade our 1st round pick to will draft #1 overall.

Re: Zack Wilson... should we?
I seriously don't know when it comes to any of these QB's. A short while ago I would have gave this a hard no, then I seen what Baker Mayfield did in a better system and it kind of changes my mind somewhat.
I think it would be a decent idea to bring Wilson into training camp as a reclamation project. It's possible he is a good QB that is just a bad fit for what the Jets are trying to do. Of course if his attitude sucks or if he just sucks at QB then cut him loose and forget about him. |

Re: Zack Wilson... should we?
If he went on to be released and we sign him for the minimum, it a zero risk move I'd consider. With that said, he has the yips, immature, no accountability, and well... he sucks.
I'd like to hop on the Minshew train for a year or two as well as we try to find someone to develop behind him for the next couple of drafts. |

I’d rather give a healthy Winston another shot.

Pass on that. Reminds me of the 'Johnny Football' hype from college that was crap in the NFL.

This might not be popular but I would see what their going to do when Stafford heals up. If we get an O minded HC then I could see Mayfield here. And to think , we could have already had Akers on the cheap!! Allens got to go!!

I don't like much about our D either. Jordan don't look good. The front 4 in all looks ruff. The lb. need more depth, and our backfield not so great after letting good players go to other teams. That's got to get shored up for next season.

Dalton is our Minshew.
I can see us rolling with Andy in 2023 and using our first draft pick on a QB. The only question is how high that first pick ends up being. |
