Dalton is our Minshew.
I can see us rolling with Andy in 2023 and using our first draft pick on a QB. The only question is how high that first pick ends up being. |

Re: Zack Wilson... should we?
I have a feeling we are going to be very disappointed as fans with the compensation for Payton. If Payton ends up having interest in only one final destination then there will be no bidding, just straight forward negotiating. I hope I'm wrong, but if a 1st is involved it may end up being a 2024.

Re: Zack Wilson... should we?
You need to look no further than his Mentor Bill Parcells.
After Parcells’s Giants won another Super Bowl in 1991, he retired and then signed with NBC Sports to serve as an analyst for its football broadcasts. (Sound Familliar?) Parcells did not leave the field for long, however. In 1993 he became head coach of a New England Patriots............ The Beat Goes On............ |

Re: Zack Wilson... should we?
I think some people are forgetting that in other cities the GM can get fired in 2 years if the team loses. And some owners don’t want to being back Kliff Kingsbury for 2 years while they wait. If a GM or owner things Payton can help them win now, winning now not in 2 years will be worth a lot to them, because GMs want to keep their job and owners want tosee what their $5 billion toy can do full throttle. The Broncos want Payton to fix Wilson now and the Cardinals want Payton to fix Murray now, not when Wilson is 37 and Murray is playing Spring ball with the A’s. The Texans want Payton to develop their new QB, not try to fox him after some other coach turns him into Zach Wilson. But at the same time teams dont want to mortgage their future and do a Herschel Walker style trade. So, I think we get medium price, like a middle first round pick, or a high 1st where we give up something back, or a 1st in 2024 and later picks this year, which I am fine with. I hope we dont settle for a 2nd rounder or something because I dont believe any owner would plan to lose for two years over the difference in value between a 2nd rounder and a mid 1st rounder.

Re: Zack Wilson... should we?
I'm dreaming about Hendon hooker. Something in me screams Drew Brees' successor. Of course we need a good offensive coordinator to get the most out of him and we need a good quarterbacks coach and well, there's a lot of work to be done but I think that Hendon Hooker would be a good start.
