Marcus Davenport

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; In other news, seeing Bill Vinovich reffing the 9ers game made me want to puke. Hope Dak or Purdy throw one right in his senile face....

Re: Marcus Davenport

At least Marcus Davenport's time with New Orleans finished on a high note. Oh wait, there was that nasty ejection.

Trey Hendrickson and that 13million dollar pass rush sure helped the bengals this playoffs. So mad we didn't pay that guy

Right? Instead we just kept Davenport and drafted another DE in the first round that stays injured or just doesn’t play.

What a waste.

That's 3 number 1s tied up in not playing quality minutes. I just wonder, pray tell, just what could we have gotten with these three number 1s?

And yet some people think other teams are okay with tying up multiple #1's not playing quality minutes for a coach. Go figure.

A coach plays quality minutes on a field now? When did the rules change? What position... QB, DT?

Yup! That's exactly what I'm talking about, Smash. Someone told me here that there's no difference in spending two 1st's on a player and two 1st's on a coach. I'd much rather use those picks on players than a coach any day. Wouldn't you?

Maybe we need to rethink basing our drafts for defensive ends strictly on the raw Athletic score. These guys have measurables that are off the charts but we can't get them on the field and they are always a slow project.
