Trey Hendrickson and that 13million dollar pass rush sure helped the bengals this playoffs. So mad we didn't pay that guy

Right? Instead we just kept Davenport and drafted another DE in the first round that stays injured or just doesn’t play.

What a waste.

That's 3 number 1s tied up in not playing quality minutes. I just wonder, pray tell, just what could we have gotten with these three number 1s?

And yet some people think other teams are okay with tying up multiple #1's not playing quality minutes for a coach. Go figure.

A coach plays quality minutes on a field now? When did the rules change? What position... QB, DT?

Maybe we need to rethink basing our drafts for defensive ends strictly on the raw Athletic score. These guys have measurables that are off the charts but we can't get them on the field and they are always a slow project.

Re: Marcus Davenport

All I know is that the New Orleans Saints are one of the oldest teams in the NFL & having cap "concerns".

Unable to keep Latavius vs Ingram & then the Ceedy trade . Notice how Philly was able to use him EFFECTIVELY at safety. Instead of paying Marcus Williams (his range is elite), they went with the HB & injury-prone Marcus Maye.

The O line has regressed & poor (Throckmorton/Hurst) DEPTH.

Cam Jordan & Demario are another year older & guys like Davenport/Turner are brittle. Not even sure if Tanoh or MD walk in Free Agency.

Realistically, this team needs a LOT (starting with coaches) if they ever want to truly compete for a Lombardi again. Oh, did I mention we have no quarterback?? Watching the title games over the weekend, you either must have an ELITE QB or a sound defensive front with forward-thinking coaches to make it to the big boy bowl.

IMO they are 3, or 4 years away from competing ...

Re: Marcus Davenport

Trey had zero sacks and two tackles in two playoff games, lls where is elite pass rusher? Or are you all counting pressures now?
