Constantly speaking on players as if we know them their mindset or inside scoop to why MT didn't get his surgery or Marcus Davenport port not having any value equivalent to Zack Wilson is just asinine. I'm a football fan first. A fan being emotional over a injured player is just downright weird. They don't walk into the building and pick what injury they are going have for the season. But let some of these cheerleaders tell it MT sabotaged the Saints because he doesn't want to play. I'm going to call a hater a hater everyday all day.
Well put, Rell. Passion is one of the things that make us "fans" or fanatics. And passionate debates are part of it. I believe what you are also trying to convey is that making every other (or more) post here the same passionate criticism of a certain player or coach or GM gets tiresome. Am I right here, Rell? Every subject turns into an attack on Michael Thomas, or Davenport, or Dennis Allen, or Sean Payton, Or Mickey Loomis. We get it. You hate these guys. Fine. But can we sometimes just talk Saints football without it constantly turning into the same old hate fest?

I don't hate Michael Thomas, Marcus Davenport, Dennis Allen, or Mickey Loomis. I would love to have a beer with them and eat some nachos. No hard feelings emotionally. Just that while we are having that beer and those nachos I would be really stoked if they were wearing Atlanta Falcons uniforms. Because the one thing that is emotional is that I prefer the Saints win games and the Falcons lose games. And I think that those people being part of the Falcons organization would help achieve that results, in terms of the leadership skills of Allen, the long term decision making of Loomis, and the health outlook of Thomas and Davenport. Its nothing personal. I don't think they are bad guys or get hurt on purpose. I just would prefer my team not be the one paying them when they do. I hate watching the Saints lose. As someone who hates watching the Saints lose, I cannot love the idea of every member the Saints organization who underperforms being given a second and third chance. The Patriots dynasty cut loose all kinds of their players when they feared they were passing their primes and the timing was not always perfect but no other team got more than 6 rings trying something else. So sorry if I don't want continuity at every role forever and that makes me a hater. I wanted continuity at every role for the Falcons when they had Matt Ryan, because I wanted them to have the same result forever as when they blew a 28-3 lead. For us, I want something different.

Patriots haven't done anything since Tom left what's your point? Them cutting ties with players has done what for them? Trading Gilmore did what for them? Cutting Cam has done what for them? Yall speak on things so absolutely and have no idea what you're talking about. Grade a defensive linemen impact without mentioning sacks....I'll wait

A whole lot of teams have stopped winning when they no longer had a franchise QB. What the Patriots did a lot better than the Saints, Colts, Packers, etc was winning rings while they had a franchise QB. I don’t think 100% of that was just that Brady was way better than Brees, Manning, Rodgers, Favre, etc. I think if the Patriots married Andrus Peat for a big chunk of Brady’s career or structured Moss’s contract so they could not move on when his production declined they might have won a lot less rings with Brady. Likewise, while looking for and once we get a true franchise QB, we have to hedge our bets at other positions and not just keep everyone because they are family or whatever. We will need draft picks or salary cap space to get a true franchise QB and to get those we need to move on from some players and be patient in the draft at other positions. And we need a GM capable of being patient and a head coach capable of running an offense and developing a qb, not just nice guys we dont hate to drink a beer with. Winning is not personal, its business.

Accurate.

Doing the same thing over expecting different results. And some wonder why we won 7 games last season.

It's about time to gut this team. The Saints are 2, or 3 years away from truly competing again.
