Nope. Not at all. I wasn't addressing you, actually. That was directed to that other person. You are definitely not "Saintsphobic", however, those others pointing out that "Thomas has missed a lot of games over the past three seasons" dozens of times in the past few months is a bit obsessive. We get it.

"Haters gonna hate" is a colloquial saying, or slang, that does not necessarily imply true hatred, but refers the consistently applied criticism applied by an individual or group towards a specific target.

Haters gonna hate is an informal way to express consolation, voice encouragement, or dismiss criticism. The phrase implies that criticism says more about the critic, or “hater,” than the person being criticized, i.e., that they are making judgements out of jealousy or their own negativity.

Once again, this is not directed toward you at all, Boston. As for others, "if the shoe fits" ...

:D

Michael Thomas’ shoe never fits because he is always having foot/ankle surgery. I am not jealous, because the surgeries sound painful. I just would rather my team pay people who will play. It haters are going to hate at least they are doing what they are supposed to do. “Players gonna play” is also a colloquilism, but not one that applies to Michael Thomas.

A clear case of The Pot Calling The Kettle Black! an idiomatic phrase that people sometimes use to point out hypocrisy. It means that someone is criticizing another person for a fault they have even though the criticizer is also guilty of doing the same thing.

20 - 0 BABY!!!

Sit back and enjoy the Tap Dance with shoes that fit!!!!!

Michael Thomas missed 40 out of the last 50 games. He restructured his contract to stay in New Orleans on a prove it contract. He's betting on himself coming back strong and earning his incentives.

Our medical staff sent him back on the field too early and he reinjured himself. I don't blame him for not returning calls from the medical staff. He should be far enough removed from his injury that all the trainers have to do is build up his strength and rehab him. I don't trust the medical staff either. I've watched them misdiagnose injuries and rush players back, so I don't trust them.

Foster Moreau may have a different opinion though.

Help me out. Maybe I'm missing something in this long drawn out melodrama. Did his following injury have anything to do with his first one?

And refresh my memory (because I seriously don't remember) but who else was misdiagnosed and rushed back to the field before being properly rehabbed?

No. The two injuries were totally unrelated. He initially suffered a high ankle sprain and with prompting by the team played through the injury instead of undergoing treatment. He finally had to shut it down. After having off-season surgery to repair the damage he suffered a setback (guessing an infection) that required another surgery. During that offseason he rehabbed and was fully ready for play. That's when he suffered the toe injury that the team initially misdiagnosed (as mentioned by Rugs). It was a full dislocation that should have been addressed by surgery right away, but they had him wait and tried to rehab without surgery. He finally had the surgery and is now on track to return "good to go" for training camp according to both Loomis and Dennis Allen.

Delvin Breaux was another player who was misdiagnosed by the Saints medical staff and tried to file a malpractice claim. Unfortunately for him, misdiagnosis doesn't necessarily relate to malpractice unless it results in some sort of material damage.

No it did not it and the second injury was to his other foot leilung. Hate that he got hurt, first injury cost him a season, came back play like MT, got hurt again different injury and some people claiming his just getting paid and intentionally not putting the effort to be back on the field.

With the intensity that MT has shown since he was draft in effort to improve, compete and dominate secondaries I’m just not sure how you dismiss that and say MT just cruising by and getting the check. Of course he’s getting the check he/saints have a contract and a contract is just that, a contract.
O
None of us here on B&G know anything except MT was injured and that just about it, the truth is we don’t know what we don’t know.

Jus saying :beer::chug:
