Anybody have the cap number after yesterdays multiple restructures and Winston’s new contract?

Spotrac Saints

Spotrac has the Top 51 total at $561,195 under the cap with Winston's rewritten deal yet to be applied. They do have the Jordan, Lattimore, and Kamara restructures applied as of yesterday.

Buffalo Bills Set To Land All-Pro Wide Receiver From Saints

According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Bills are set to sign a two-year deal with New Orleans Saints wide receiver Deonte Harty.

I'd maybe take "all-pro" with a pinch of salt.

At times, he's a very good returner and has great speed. But all Pro? Nah.

LOL! Harty was named all-pro as a punt returner in 2019. It's funny how they labeled him as an all-pro WR.

No care, so long as we get another 3rd round compensatory pick.

Thinks there was little doubt that Harty was not in the Saints plans after Shaheed came on last year. Too much for his availability … exciting player for sure … Best of luck Deonte.

Seems like he hasn't played as well since he changed his last name. Good thing we have Shaheed.

Shaheed is what made Harty completely expendable.

I liked what the guys said on NOF podcast this week; Whatever approach you think is the best we will get a chance to see and evaluate all three approaches to team building this year.

1. Atlanta tear it down complete rebuild.
2. Carolina draft a QB and build the team around him.
3. Or Mickey and Company keeping putting the pieces together and compete now.

Potentially an interesting discussion topic after the season.

Don't be surprised to see the Saints select a big ugly (G) early in next month's draft to compete and eventually take Peat's job in 2024.

Past history (without checking I think he's been on IR 3+ times over his career) says Peat will not finish the upcoming season with some sort of injury .

Get this ...

The Saints have the "6th-most spending room ahead of 2023 NFL draft".

Lot's of room to make more moves before, or after, the draft.

His cap hit for 2024 would only be about $13.943 million. That is dirt cheap for a frontline WR in today's game.

A solid season and there's little doubt he'll be back for 2024 ... and most likely beyond.

Wow! We brought in decent replacements in the offseason for the players we lost, signed a solid RB, and signed Derek Carr in free agency. We still have money left over for signing the rookies and a few more contracts before we kick off the season.

But...but... the Saints were over the cap and in cap hell. How in the hell did the Saints do that? Media idiots need to know.

Only a $1.8 million 2023 cap hit. Over $15 million in 2023 cap still available.
