Smash !!!

You really got me thinking now. I have a media room (pre wired) that is basically empty and I've been contemplating what to do with it for some time now.

Our previous home had the Bose Acoustimass 6 (old by today's standards), nothing fancy however the sound was full & rich.

If I had a media room, which I could do above the garage in my back building, I'd sound insulate all the walls and ceiling. Then install ceiling Dolby Atmos speaker system. Don't really need a sub if you get the Golden Ears ( no choice with a Bose system). Each one of the Tritons I have sport a 1600 watt sub. More than enough. No need to use the sub out on the receiver if your receiver has them. I use both of them for the fronts. My rears also have 300 watt sub built in, the Def Techs. The biggest center channel from Golden Ears is bad azz. I've got the smaller one. The tweeter they use is next level. If you're starting from scratch, get four Tritons, two fronts and two rears, and smaller ones for Atmos and what not. And a receiver to match. Plenty of good brands. I have the DENON 6200. New one is 6700. Or you can go top of the line 7000 series. The multiform source they have is cool but not necessary, IMHO. Do use quality cabling, which you can buy online cheaper, with banana plugs. I didn't use the Audissey system to calibrate. It's a PITA and unnecessary. Use the manual set up and adjust the sound levels manually until it matches your room accordingly. Every room is different. The "pre-wired" rooms on new builds are not quality cabling, typically.

If you've got the coin, you won't regret investing in Denon and Golden Ears. Truly next level.
