From my understanding he spent all his time on rehab after both injuries and all three required surgeries.

From my understanding can't call Mike did not do the rehab after his initial injury that the team suggested and then he made himself unavailable to the New Orleans Saints coaches and training staff. I'm sorry Guido, but I don't buy that he's been trying hard from the beginning. He took bad advice and ran with it. Unfortunately, that's one of the last few times he was able to run. LOL

After suffering the first injury (the ankle) he continued playing under medication as the team wished. After they finally shut him down he chose to attempt rehab instead of surgery. He finally agreed to surgery after rehab alone wasn't working and began rehab again immediately after. During this rehab complications arose (probably infection) and they did a second surgery. Once again, he began rehab right away and returned for the beginning of the 2022 season. He was lights out before suffering a totally separate injury to the foot of his other leg and had surgery and, once again, began rehab ASAP.

This is what I was trying to point out. At no point was he not trying to return. As you said he probably took bad advice by attempting the rehab without surgery, but that doesn't mean he wasn't working to return. The guy has spent almost all of the past three years doing nothing but rehab.

Didn't he miss like 13 weeks for a dislocated toe? I've been on his side until this last time

Have you ever trying running on a dislocated toe?

It took surgery to repair the damage. That means the ligaments were damaged and needed to be repaired. Rest will not work. Recovery from that type of surgery can take months, not just weeks. Seriously, what else was he supposed to do?

There are multiple videos out there where physicians speak on this injury. There’s no way an athlete could perform with this injury. Hence why surgery was required.

Re: Can't Guard Mike

I guess.

Underhill (or maybe it was Triplett) was among the 1st to predict the Saints and Michael Thomas were headed for divorce following the contract "tweak".

I got roasted on this forum a few months ago when I said the divorce was all but final with Sean Payton & New Orleans.
There was one person in particular who had all of the insight and just assumed he would pull a Bill Cowher move & stay in the Fox booth. Yeah right .

Guess we'll see what happens with MT this off-season.

At this point, I could care less if he stays or goes.

I wish all the naysayers would go back and watch the season opener against ATL.
MT’s 1st TD catch is why I’m not giving up on the guy. We win 4 additional games easily with that guy on the roster.

Yup. The biggest problem with our offense was the inability to pick up the first on third down. There's no one in the game that's as effective at doing just that than Thomas. Four additional games at the very least.
