I was really hoping the light would come on for Trautman. Payton must see something in him that many of us don't. Or maybe it's a sentimental trade.

Allows football to get on top of him, leading to drops (17 over past two seasons, per PFF).
Below average feel for footwork on sideline grabs.
Unlikely to spring many runs with tough blocking.

I always thought that it wasn't so much a light not coming on, but more of not having a QB able to take advantage of his talents. I was hoping to see him blossom with Carr who has made several TE's look great, but it is what it is.
