Lol.
What’s crazy is that he actually CONTRIBUTES in the red zone when he has seen the field but these dumb a** coaches kept him inactive for almost a month. For a team that has struggled ALL SEASON in the R/Z, makes no sense. Do you think that type of decision making would fly in Philly, San Fran, Dallas (pains me to mention them) MIA or KC? The lack of quality coaching has cost this team in 2023 season. |

Saints better start scouting RBs in the 2024 draft. This guy won't be able to help you long term at the position. He's brittle. Questionable draft pick. |
Re: The 2023 JeanPierre Saints Roster Depth Chart Thread
I wonder where the list of "needs" are for tackle in the 2024 draft?
Coaches aren't even mentioning Trevor Penning after the benching, specifically OL coach Doug Marrone. Not sure what's going on @ practice but apparently he's not improving. 0 offensive snaps last 3 games. It could be coaching (ranked bottom tier in run & pass blocking) however I have my doubts about the former 1st rounder. |
Re: The 2023 JeanPierre Saints Roster Depth Chart Thread
They were talking the struggles of offensive lines across the entire league a little earlier today on NFL Radio. Sacks are trending to blow away the league record this season. Among the factors that were given are the simplistic offenses being run across college teams everywhere. They are not being asked to hold blocks with the spread/West Coast and their tendency to get the ball out so fast. Almost no teams have the QB under center anymore. Limited practice time is also a factor. The NCAA is now limiting all football related activities to 20 hours per week. That not only includes actual practices, but also other workouts, meeting times and even game day activities including the game itself. Offensive linemen are coming into the league less developed than ever before in the history of the NFL. This not only means delaying the development of the players once they get into the NFL, but also making the selection process more difficult when it comes to the draft with the evaluation of the players.
Interesting points made in the show. |
