It all comes down to work ethic. Lazy people are going to be lazy whether they are "working" remotely from home or in the office environment. My wife's office was moved permanently to her home office in 2020 and she has confessed that she gets more done at home rather than dealing with the constant interruptions in the former worksite office.

Honestly the absolute same here.

As you said, lazy people are lazy anywhere.

When I'm diving into tech logs to try and fix an issue, having my concentration broken by someone wandering over and asking what was on TV last night is really distracting.

We do have days where we go into the office so we don't alienate ourselves, but every member of the team I'm in, despite missing some of the on-site dynamic from time to time, admit they get way more done at home.

I feel your pain there, diz! I spent almost 30 years trying to comb through code and data to find and fix issues. It got to the point where I kept my office door closed (and locked) the whole time I was there. Except for the damned meetings. LOL!

The only caveat is that when you work from home, your spouse thinks because you're home, even though you're busy working, she has unabated access to you and can walk into your office anytime and interrupt whatever you're doing, even if you're on an important Teams call. :brood:

Nope! I know better than to bother her on any call.

But that's where players committed to working hard can do it on their own away from those interruptions. Bringing this back full circle, remember when Thomas sued the landlord of the property he was using for rehabilitation a couple of years back? The basis of the suit was the constant unannounced interruptions. Sound familiar? :D

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has reportedly filed a civil lawsuit against a Los Angeles-area homeowner for allegedly breaking the terms of a lease agreement signed in early 2021.

TMZ Sports reported Wednesday that Thomas agreed to pay $180,000 ($120,000 in rent and a $60,000 security deposit) to live in an L.A. mansion from Feb. 4 through April 5 for offseason training.

The Saints star, who's sidelined after undergoing ankle surgery in June, alleged there were consistent problems with the house and reps for the rental property "repeatedly" visited unannounced during his workouts despite saying he'd have the home to himself.
