Player 1: 114 catches, 1629 yards, 52.1% catch rate, 11 TD's

Player 2: 131 catches, 1764 yards, 66.8% catch rate, 18 TD's

By the way, Washington is player 1 and Tre'Quan is player 2.

I'm not lobbying for Tre'Quan to make the team, but he's not as horrible as some people think.
Point taken ... there's a reason Washington is yet trying to make another team. Both catch rates suck, IMHO. You have one main job as a WR.... catch the dang ball.

Actually, 66% is right around league average. In Michael Thomas' record breaking year (2019) he had a catch rate of 81%. Only five other receivers in the entire NFL with a decent number of targets (85 or more) finished at 70% or better that season.

It may come as a surprise, but last season Tre'Quan had the 3rd highest catch rate (70.4%) on the Saints team for all players with 25 or more targets. Only Kamara and Shaheed had higher. Chris Olave's catch rate was 60.5%. Juwan Johnson was 64.6%.

I don’t think Michael Thomas is one of our top 3 receivers. It would be ideal if he broke the top 3 but to do that he would need to stay healthy at least half the season. So my answer is Michael Thomas. To
Do that Michael will need to do what Trequan Smith does well, return from injuries mid season.
