this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Whew. Not a great way to start my day. I would argue that the Johnathan Sullivan pick was worse than the Ricky Williams pick, though. Indeed. Not only is it too easy if a shot, but Ricky finished his career the 5th all time leading rusher for the team up to that point. At least he produced some. IDK why but the Baptiste pick always stuck in my craw. A second round pick on a guy with 1 career NFL tackle.

Re: New Orleans Saints Hall of Shame: Worst breakup and more
Throughout the entire history of the draft there have always been a fair share of total busts and there will always be the occasional bust, regardless of what round or what franchise is involved. It is the nature of the beast. I suppose that's why I have never understood the obsession with the related draft capital of any player that is drafted. The NFL draft has always been and will always be an inexact science. I'm not saying there is no skill involved, but even the very best strike out from time to time.
