New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram will be officially retired from the National Football League. In an announcement by Fox Sports on Thursday, Ingram will be joining Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn, Urban Meyer, and Rob Stone on the network's Saturday collegiate telecast.
The move comes as no surprise. Earlier in June, a story surfaced that Fox Sports approached Ingram to be one of their hosts on the ''Big Noon Kickoff'' college football pregame show. As Kyle Mosley of the Saints News Network wrote on June 8, Ingram will replace former New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush on the telecast. more here |

A couple of thoughts:
Love that his middle name is Valentino! Classy! The Saints all-time leading rusher was obtained by using a future pick to trade up into the first round. Bako would have called this a stupid move by Loomis and Co. |

Re: Mark Ingram Retires
Roll Tide! I watched him at Alabama and was excited to see the Saints draft him. It's a shame his first couple of years were slowed by having turf toe, but he had a really good career. It's also too bad his agent played hard ball with the Saints(you don't win that battle) and we lost him for a couple of years. We never were able to find his replacement.....even when we brought him back. Lol
I'm not the only fan that was seriously disappointed/frustrated that he stepped out of bounds with his last carry short of a first down, but honestly, would any of us have done it differently? I still have the deepest respect for him, regardless of where he was drafted or the cost to draft him. He was an excellent team player/team first guy who is our current rushing leader. I wish him good luck with the next phase of his career in front of the camera. He's a very likeable guy. I have a feeling that AK will tune in to see his buddy. |

Report: Reggie Bush 'Likely' Leaving Fox Over Contract Dispute; Mark Ingram Targeted According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, Fox Sports' Big Noon Kickoff is "closing in" on signing Mark Ingram II, while Reggie Bush is "expected to be out" amid a contract dispute. Ingram, who has played 13 seasons in the NFL, is a free agent. He spent the majority of his career with the New Orleans Saints, with whom he played 10 games in 2022 before being placed on injured reserve in December with a knee injury. The 33-year-old is a three-time Pro Bowl selection and amassed over 8,000 rushing yards during his career. Fox and Bush reportedly "first squabbled over money last year." The 38-year-old agreed to a one-year deal to remain on Big Noon Kickoff for the 2022 season, but the sides were unable to negotiate a new deal this time around. |

Re: Mark Ingram Retires
Best of luck to Ingram. I was always impressed at how he stepped up as a team player before he left. He would be one of the first to congratulate another back when they scored.
Looking forward to seeing him on the coverage. |
