If not, it's going to be a long season chewing on antacids!

Re: 2023 New Orleans Saints: Regular Season News
So Pete C gets yet another playmaker (AK) back on Sunday.
Question is : How will he utilize him against the Bucs? Gruden was in Metarie earlier this summer ... use some of the concepts he implemented/suggested. Screens, playaction on 1st down (see Detroit game last night), get the football out early. No need to stand back there with this terrible oline and get your QB destroyed & take more sacks. It's a copy cat league. Do what the Lions did last night. Philly vs Bucs or MIA (Tua has taken only 1 sack so far) vs Denver. Change it up, get more creative on offense. With the WR/TE & RB room, there is absolutely no reason why we shouldn't be scoring UNDER 24 ppg. Help out your defense. They are good enough but you can't expect them to be on the field all game (7 punts vs Pack) long. Coaching matters. Even at this level. |

+1.
I'll share a glarying stat (at least it stands out for me) here: "The Saints have scored 21 or few points in nine consecutive games, dating to last season. That matches the Bears for the longest streak in the NFL and is the longest run of offensive importency since 2005 for the Saints" . Better fix this Dennis, Pete and Dougie Marrone. It's not going to get any easier at this level & no one wants to hear the excuses. This team is loaded offensively. |
