This goes along with what I was saying about comparing margin of victories over the panthers. Bryce was playing his first ever NFL action when he faced Atl on the road. I’m sure his confidence level was much higher playing his second game at home against the Saints.

Phenomenal catch and possibly the best of the year so far in the league, to be sure.

My concern is the ball spin afterward...it was still a live ball because there was no whistle! He's lucky in went OB to make it a moot point, because the defender sure was all over it! College, that play is dead after the catch. NFL, you have to play until the whistle is blown.

Hope the coaches remind him of that this week.

Lattimore ain't no slouch either... he's playing lights out this year. We'll see what happens with the more recent crop of rookie QBs across the league. Jordan Love sat behind Rogers for a minute, as did Rogers behind Favre. Maybe the latter is a more prudent path, and even perhaps the one for our very own Jake Haener. Cap implications are greater than ever before. Time will tell.

When others were doubting we would win at all, I reiterated I still thought we would probably win, but I was not happy winning a close game against one of the weakest teams on our easy schedule. Then we won a close game and I said I wasn't impressed. How can I be more consistent here? If we win at all next week I will be impressed because we play a decent team, though if our division rivals continue to win more impressively I will admit it.

We are paying Carr a lot of money and our oline is struggling with everyone healthy and active. It's not a great situation. I don't have your rose glasses. Could the offense all come together? Sure. But so could Carolinas, and Atlanta's could improve more, as could Tampa's. We are spending more 2024 money than any team in the league. Sorry if I am not impressed by beating two sub-.500 caliber teams by a combined 4 points and only being ahead of one team in our division.

You kiss your momma with that mouth? I have yet to hear you say one good thing about the saints without telling us how bad they are. You’re like someone who apologized and then says “but”. You’re like a parent that tells his kids he made a good okay and goes on to tell him about how horrible he did on everything else. If you want to give a play by play on how you “feel” about the saints then I say go see a therapist or become an analyst.

There is a rule about a player giving himself up. This play should have fallen under this rule but he sure could have got up and continue to run.

I remember defending Aaron Brooks for this twenty+ years ago. But Brooks wasn't in shotgun! He had his hands under the Guards unmentionables and didn't notice that the package had a different feel.:dunce:

And he's injured it appears ...

I don't think we're as bad as the record indicates.

As for Hurst, he hasn't look good in either games. He might be a better candidate for "benching". Not to mention Ruiz played poorly last night.

The Oline (collectively), needs to improve.

But in the end, I'm just a couch coach, GM and head trainer .

He looked a little better in the second half and made a key block. My vote would be Hurst. I still think we need to make a trade for someone legit.

I was being facetious, because lately that's been our mantra. Wasn't that what the team kept saying last year though?

I was talking with my twin brother about this yesterday. Peat has been better than Hurst playing guard, even though Peat isn't great he can be good at times. It might be time to swap out the left guards and let Peat's experience help solidify that leaky O line. Give Penning a little help inside and let him take his lumps while getting live action reps on film for the coaches to study.

That would be nice, but where would we find a trade partner at this point? Tackles have been going down like flies across the league these first two weeks. There was already a shortage to begin with. I wouldn't expect any team to be in the market to trade one of their better tackles until they were completely out of the running.

I'd rather our guy HOLD than to have a linebacker come in for a free shot to our QB like that. Underhill mentioned on Tuesday that the Saints lead the league right now in quarterback sacks allowed. Clean that up.

Collectively, this oline has to improve (Penning played well) going forward.

Packers OL ranked #1??

With no Elgton or Bakhitiari ?

They only managed 4 ypc to the Falcons 5ypc just last week & LOST.

That ranking for GB is fools gold.

Saints simply blew it against a depleted team with a below avg QB.

Week to week league. Just ask Dallas or Jacksonville.
