Re: Saints @ Packers Game Day Thread
I guess once we cut Roby the league that is always looking for seasoned backup CB’s apparently had similar evaluations, Roby sits. I personally have no insight other 31 teams passed on by.

Re: Saints @ Packers Game Day Thread
Isaac Yiadom actually looked pretty serviceable as a backup corner having to start. He had several PBU’s and the pass interference on both he and Taylor was very questionable to me. The likelihood of us being four and five deep with Marshon Lattimore’s at that position is improbable. They should have had Lattimore follow Doubs and play man all game while everybody else played zone. That would have helped out with some of the scrambling too. People tend to only remember the bad plays for certain guys. Yiadom has some potential. I like him. Roby definitely needed to be cut. He’s not that guy anymore and he was at his best in a zone which we don’t run nearly as much as man.

Re: Saints @ Packers Game Day Thread
DD make that tackle different game. Idk what Marshon was doing on that 2pt conversion trying to do too much should remained focused on his assignment. Saints defense definitely gave the offense enough chances to win but they weren't perfect. On top of a special teams td. Ryan getting abused today. Next season oline has to be priority problem has gone on long enough

DD had a similar play last year when we blew the game Vs bucs, where he missed a goal line tackle and they won. And Marshon, ugh, he plays so well but I don't know what he was doing there. Seemed to be in a world of his own just watching the guy catch it. |

Re: Saints @ Packers Game Day Thread
Didn't Doug Marrone get replaced here once before? I seem to recall that he wasn't very good but DA had a comfort level with him, so he's back. I'm not impressed....not in the least!

Re: Saints @ Packers Game Day Thread
Remember how long Payton kept Gary Gibbs around, when he blew game after game with bad coaching.
If DA really cares about this team, he'll show Marrone the door, and soon. |
