Observations from the Saints Loss to Packers

So close yet so far.

Our line didn't come through today. Carr was injured as a result. Hopefully he won't out long. Jaboo showed he can't come through yet again. Our defense did it's job mostly. Still crazy how the refs quit calling the game as they did earlier in the game .

If you take Sheed's TD on the return, the offense let us down bigly.

No excuses. We should have won... just didn't.

Off to next week.

Small consolation... Denver is getting blasted by Miami 70-20 so far .

A team with strong leadership makes a change at OC this week.

I said we should trade Payton within the division. I am happy with what we got for him, but I wish we could have robbed a closer rival. There just isn't a precedent for a coach winning the Super Bowl with 2 teams, and most coaches are stale in their second act unless they came up just short in their first act and still have that chip on their shoulder.

Shaheed needs to be more than the 3rd look. Thomas should be the #3 WR. Shaheed can run farther by the 3rd look than Carr or Winston can throw and our oline usually can't hold that long anyway.

Got a bad feeling Carr is done, it's being reported that he is at a Green Bay hospital for testing.

O line play continues to be a problem. Even Ramz looks bad.

GB were missing key pieces and found a way.

Coaches, offensive game plan, the ENTIRE OLINE & offense didn’t help the defense at all today. They were on the field the entire game.

Blowing a 17 point LEAD with GB missing key players is unacceptable.

This all falls on LD BELL (Dennis Allen).

Unbelievable.

I observe through social media commentary that most people watch football but don’t know football. I wouldn’t even dwell on this week. Hopefully Carr isn’t out for any length of time. We get Kamara back next week. I’d be searching for trades on the offensive line. We’re stuck with Carmichael and his piss poor plays. Keep moving forward.

3 in the first half, 15 points in the second. They figured something out or our defense didn’t adjust.

O-Line let the QB get hurt but didn’t do anything to help them put up 15 in the second half.

HC is a liability from what I heard about 2minute play calling.

With the exception of big plays just not a very good all round it seems.

This is what Dennis Allen was going into this game 16–38 (.296).

It does take a few weeks to get the offense on step but losses early in the season to NFC teams have always bit us in the ass later.

Play quality can be improved, play calling quality generally can not and Dennis doesn’t know any better.

The Dolphins should be interesting when they get their offense in sync. They looked pretty good this week. I am skeptical of the whole just takes a few weeks argument, because its not like any other teams played 10 week preseasons, and we only have to outscore the opposing offenses to win. Yeah, we have a new QB, but the same HC, OC, receivers, TE, most of the same oline, most other teams have changes too.
