Re: Saints vs Bucs Game Day Thread
I do think our coaching is bad but I don't think we have top 10 talent in the NFL and I do know we are paying more future salary cap than any other team in the league for this middle-tier talent. So, new coaches will improve our record but I don't think Andy Reid or Nick Sirianni or Bill Belichick wins 2 playoffs games with this kind of talent. Want to see what Bill Belichick does with middle tier talent, watch a Patriots game. I think we rank something like 16th on roster and 30th on coaching.
Derek Carr is a middle-tier QB we paid top-tier money we didnt have for. Our oline is not talented, they are priviledged, drafted so high, often as a reach, they never had to perform to keep their jobs, unlike other teams that cut or benched busts. Our defense has talent, but we lack the beast disruptive defender other teams have, they are solid but don't take over games. Cam Jordan is like a Philip Rivers of pass rushers, which is fine and might merit the hall of fame, but he has never been that player who we get to the playoffs against a top team and he just takes over the game. |

Re: Saints vs Bucs Game Day Thread
I don’t think Carr is the problem. It’s the coaching that’s lacking.
