Positives :bng: ...

Trevor Penning ... he continues to improve every week.
Brian Bresee ... looks really good at the position.

DA and PC need to be fired immediately! Carr needs to be benched and Haener needs to step in! Use Hill a lot more on Offense! We have way too many weapons not to score a lot of TD’s! We have 12 FG’s and 4 Offensive TD’s! I could coach better than that!!! The Aint’s are back guys and gals! We’re in for a long season! We were lucky to beat the Titans and Kittens!!!

Re: Observations from the Saints Loss to the Bucs

Just watched this too, Two thing can be right same piss poor playcalling tendencies. As well as DC holding on to the ball or he missed Tony Jones JR, Taysom Hill, and Olave ir MT on third downs. Carr may not be the problem but I'll say again and again he's not the solution. DC DA PC will not elevate this team. The combination of the three. We do not attack the seams anymore we don't use TE but to block. PC at minimum has to go. At the minimum he has to go.

If Tomlin is coming out addressing issues stating there needs to be changes, DA soft a$$ needs to do the same, good to potentially great DC below avg head coach

Not sure if any has seen the clip Underhill posted but it's some ridiculous play call in the redzone where Carr is under center with a "fake" reverse to AK ... resulting in a 3 yard loss.

Who are you trying to fool? If you are going to do that type of stuff, do it with Taysom Hill.

Is Pete Carmichael trying to re injure DCarr with this nonsense?

Edit *** here is the clip I was referring to.

DA repeatedly saying he won't make any changes, this makes me want to stop watching.

He has so much talent on this team, by not admitting there's a problem and doing something, that talent will want out the door before it's too late.

Alvin, surely, will not want to stick around whilst Pete C calls plays to Taysom or gets him hit 5 yards behind LOS in a double digit loss.

We'll lose talent because of DA, not just games.

The coaching staff and management may literally be trying to re-injure Carr. They thrive on excuses and injuries are the best excuse. Carr's injury last week was a godsend for them, all the conversation was on the injury and the bad luck and how we would be 3-0. Carr's surprising diagnosis and quick recovery were the worst luck these guys have ever had. Their excuse for an entire season melted away in a few days. Now they have what they built and they have to own it and take responsibility. Another significant injury is all they can hope and pray for. If Carr continues to struggle they will try to delay firing Carmichael until the season is over and then offer him as a sacrificial lamb but that might not cut it. People might start asking questions about the salary cap and why we can't move on from Carr and have to resign struggling aging injury prone players to avoid cap hits. Injury is this regime's greatest hope to buy themselves another year.

There are only 3 teams that have failed to score more than 20 points
in a game this season
.

Saints  (2-2)
Patriots (our upcoming opponent 10/8 & 1-3)
Raiders (1-3)

Lots of things went wrong. First off I’ll say Tampon deserves credit. They played well. Mayfield and their WRs showed up. So did their D

Bad Fumble and dropped pass by our FB killed us. It can be argued he shouldn’t have been in the game. Yet Kamara fumbled in key spots last year, so the point is Players have to play. We missed many tackles. We dropped passes. We missed blocks. The coaching was subpar, but the player execution was more so.

Didn't we already have a QB that holds the ball too long ? Jameis has a better long ball too.

The Saints' schedule is easier than last year... and they're struggling. It does not bode well for the remainder of the year. Are we getting a better draft pick from the Broncos in 2024 after all?

What makes it real depressing is that as a Longhorns fan I go from watching Sark's offense (IMO he is one of the top 10 offensive football minds on the whole planet) to whatever the bleep the Saints are doing!

And it's time for Ronald Curry to take over the play calling.

He can't be any worse right?

Meanwhile this here petition just got started.

Translation: We sucked badly… at home… against a sucky team, and a division rival… again… and we have tons of talent that just can’t seem to get it together.

Let’s call that “subpar” coaching. LMFAO

Anyone else notice the last 2 weeks WR's seem to be running in the same general area? I don't think that's by design.

Yeah, on one play Olave and Thomas both ran an out, about 3 yards away from each other.

Olave just turned around and saw Thomas catch it, then just watched him go upfield. Definitely didn't look designed that way.

I get the sense that DA is starting to lose the locker room and the team morale is starting to dissolve in a way we haven't seen since pre-Haslett. Last year the team trusted DA out of consideration that Payton had left and that there wasn't much time to react. This year that benefit of the doubt is gone.

Prolly a more astute observation that you realize ...

And since DA's contract is still top secret, if he even has one , speculations will continue to unfold.

The coaching was bad last year. It’s way worse this year. The fact that we just “keep doing what we’re doing”, is pathetic.

Scary part is that we really hadn't faced "legit", "contending" teams yet. The Bucs are trash but embarassed us at home.

Patriots are equally terrible, QB play is terrible & they will be without two (Judon & Gonzalez) of their best defensive players on Sunday ... coaches are good though.

Toss up on Sunday tbh.

Carr funneled a ton of passes to Alvin Kamara (who caught all but one of his 14 targets), but they went nowhere, gaining just 33 yards.

Yikes!

We are a painfully mismanaged and poorly coached team, with a good amount of talent that is not being managed and coached properly. The sun will come up tomorrow, and that will still be the case. As a Saints Fan, it’s hard to be in a good mood about that.
