Carmichael demoted or fired, Curry becomes OC and calls plays, but preserves basic scheme. This would actually provide more continuity. The problem with having Curry call plays while Carmichael technically is still OC is that if it works and we win, continuity will end next year when Curry becomes the Falcons OC and we are stuck with Carmichael who cant call plays. You have to give the title if you want to protect them. Thats why we lost both DC’s from last year, we wouldnt give either the title.

I can't even remember when (if ever) the last time a OC was fired in season. The only guy I can recall stinking it up so badly was Bill O'Brien however he was a Head Coach.

Pete Carmichael should have never been retained after last season.

We gave the keys back to a guy driving a Bugatti with a revoked license.

Here is a good overview of coordinators fired in season. The Ravens fired OC Cam Cameron in season in 2012 and went on to win the Super Bowl. So it can work, but often doesnt.

Evn if 2/3rds it wont help, I think firing PC is worth a shot because we have to try something. If we keep playing like this and losing games to weak teams DA must go after this season. I dont care if he can bring in Andy Reid as his OC next year, I am done with DA as coach if he has a 5th losing season in a row as HC. I cant wait until after 2025 season to see if DA is the problem so thats why I prefer a new PC now. If DA wants to stick with PC fine, but if it doesnt work this year they both need to go.
