Anyone have any clarity on exactly what the nature of JJ's calf injury is?

Not specifically. Just that he may have hurt it while warming up for the Tampa game and left the game in that first possession. It doesn't sound major, but still is probably week to week.

Hope Olave doesn’t have the dreaded turf toe.

If he does it would be a low grade one since he's still practicing. I read a grade 1 (strain) takes about a week to heal. A grade 2 (partial tear) takes two to three weeks. A grade 3 (complete tear), which is what Thomas suffered along with the complete dislocation, takes anywhere from 2 - 6 months without any complications.

We keep getting dinged up each week. Even at practice and team warm up. Knock on wood......Matt Rhea has pulled players and let them heal rather than rushing them back and injuring the player again. This approach has helped cut down on the soft tissue injuries.

Good news on Olave. He practiced full today so it must not have been anything serious.
