I don't like losing but we need to for the rest of the season.
For this year for the first time in my life. I don't care if we lose out.
It should freaking hopefully guarantee that DA and Pete are gone. There is no way in hell someone could justify keeping them if we lose out. If we somehow get our crap together and finish 8-9 or 9-8. It'll be, oh well they are still getting adjusted. Blah Blah Blah. F*ck that. Plus we would get a pretty damn good draft pick. I am just done with these two. There is no universe where this will ever work. Hell Pete didn't even want the job. I mean who has to be "talked into" a promotion? See the twitter post of Carr yelling at Pete at the end of the game after that 4th down play. Speaks volumes. https://x.com/1RealNative/status/171...025090319?s=20 Hopefully our talent won't want to leave if I said above happens. If they do, fine. New blood! Officially a NegaSaint for the rest of the season. |

We could also trade some players to get some draft picks and long term cap relief. Michael Thomas to the Chiefs could make sense.

Since essentially all our contracts are like this, any trade provides a similar one year value to our trade partner. We already paid everyones salary in March. Anyone we trade to another team have all but $1 million of their 2023 salary already paid so they are very cheap for one year. |

Thomas is a beast ... he's all the way back. No way you get rid of him now.

Let say we did want to resign him in the offseason. But lets say we have limited free agent budget, because we do. In what world would retaining Thomas be a wiser use of that limited money than bolstering the oline? Talented oline with risky injury histories are generally available too, so if we are going to roll the dice, thats the bigger position of need right? So in no world does it make sense to retain Thomas in 2024 and in no world can we win a ring this year. So it makes sense to trade him. Unless being able to lift 500lb allows him to play oline now??! |

This is just foolish. Just get rid of PC. We would be fine
