Re: Chris Olave arrested for reckless operation of a motor vehicle

Many sports teams have offered special perks to first responders. A pro athlete telling a cop he is a pro athlete hoping for a one time break is just not the end of the world to me, because cops identify themselves to pro athletes hoping for stuff like autographs too. Everyone tries to get out of traffic tickets. The first amendment lets them state their profession if they wish. Pretty people flirt. People say they worked long shifts. Lawyers probably say they are lawyers. If this cop wants to arrest Olave for a speeding ticket I guess he can, but the next time a cop asks a Saints player for an autograph for their kids and says "but I'm a cop" the Saints player might say "so." I mean sure, give the guy a warning, make sure he's not drunk, let other cops know so if he tries it again he gets a ticket. But arresting him, I guess maybe its hard to be a Falcons fan on the Kenner Police department.
