Positives:
- We won, Bucs and Falcons lost. First place in the NFC South!
- Defense made some nice adjustments at half and does what they were supposed to do against the Bears asks a rookie QB.
- Adebo is playing really well and making game changing plays
- Yiadom had a great play on special teams that pinned the Bears deep
- Hill continues to impress running the ball, receiving and throwing for a TD today. Probably the lone bright spot on offense today.
- Cut back on penalties (1 penalty for 5 yards). I’ll take that any day
- +5 turnover differential

Negatives:
- Coaching continues to be awful. Why Allen decided to accept a penalty after we stopped them on 3rd and naturally they picked it up is a fireable offense.
- Continuing with the coaching, the offensive play calling is brutal. We don’t utilize the weapons at have and it’s the most basic, boring offense in the league. Pete needs to go
- Grupe clearly isn’t the answer. He can’t make a kick late in close games. I knew he was going to miss that kick. He’s already cost us and he will continue to do so.
- Defense can’t come out and play the way they did in the first half. We weren’t covering anyone in the passing game. Against good teams we’d be in a hole to deep to dig out of.
- When you are +5 in the turnover battle you shouldn’t be locked in a close game against a bad team at home. We had so many chances to put the Bears away and we couldn’t.

The dynamic Hill’s receiving TD made him the first NFL player since New York Giants Hall of Famer Frank Gifford (who retired after the 1964 season) to score 10 or more times each as a passer (11), runner (26) and receiver (10).

I think people are being too hard on Grupe. He also made a 55 yarder. Chicago's kicker had a miss today too. Lutz missed a field goal and an XP in his last game too. I would not say we kept the wrong kicker. Perhaps we should have traded BOTH of them, but Grupe could still recover and has good range and is cheaper than Lutz.

Michael Thomas had 0 yards today, but nobody is saying we need to demote him, except maybe I am saying Shaheed should start over him.

I am still very skeptical of what Taysom Hill can accomplish in big games versus big defenses. Unfortunately our schedule does not lend itself to finding out. Clearly he has an amount of value but I think it is less than the salaries and guarantees we have given him. Yes he rushed for 52 yards, but D'Onta Foreman and Tyson Bagent costs less combined and both rushed for more, so I am not convinced that Taysom Hill rushing for 52 yards and throwing a 3 yard pass means his $10 million a year salary is an amazing bargain. Today though it was better than Kamara's salary for being a 3rd down back with 2.9 yards a carry of Michael Thomas' for catching 0 passes.

I think a shocking thing could be responsible for improvements to our offensive line. The motivational power of competition and consequences. We finally have started benching players who struggle and handing full time jobs to those who thrive in relief. For so many years we had these golden boy high draft pick oline and we were so disappointed that many of them were glass and constantly hurt so we *****ed and moaned that the only reason the Falcons or whoever beat us was because they got to play their starting oline more, so whenever our starting oline was healthy we would not dare take them off the field because then we would be inflicting that instability on ourselves and wasting all the incredible draft capital we spent on them. Well, it turns out that sometimes when you bench a player you light a fire under their ass and they improve, and sometimes when you give a backup a real chance to earn the starting job not just a 1 week gig keeping a seat warm where they cant earn **** no matter how well they perform, that backup surprises you and continues to grow. And sometimes that sends a message to other starters and other backups too, that they all better be on their game. For all we know if we had benched Andrus Peat for a few games 5 years ago, he would be an all pro today, but we never tried it. Now that there is a sense that everyone has to produce to keep their job, our oline is performing better.

Now if only this same standard was applied to wide receivers, and the number of snaps and targets they received had any relationship whatsoever to their performance.

I stopped reading when you said we should start Shaheed over Thomas. Are you not aware that both Thomas AND Shaheed started yesterday, as well as Olave. All three of them played the majority of offensive snaps. Shaheed also played six special teams snaps.

The Saints may need to reconsider the RB in the 2024 draft. I recall a nice run vs the Bears & then went to the medical tent.

K Miller suffered another ankle injury vs the Bears.

The kid has been dealing with knee "sprains" going back to TCU. Then another sprain vs KC pre-season, a shoulder injury, a hamstring & now the ankle.

Durability concerns & he's only a rookie.

There are very few players that have not dealt with injuries at one point or another in their pre-NFL careers. Football is, after all, a 100% injury rate game.

This win should have felt better. There were several missed opportunities by the offense.

Every win feels great to me. This is the NFL. Any given Sunday. Every win is great.
