Open Letter to the New Orleans Saints

Dear Team,

Please show up. Show up to practice ready to learn and prepare. Show up to film meetings and strategy sessions ready to adjust and grow. Show up to the stadium where you may be playing next. Show up for yourselves. Show up for your families. Show up for your team mates. Show up for your fans.

We can take losing. We can take heartbreaks. We can take disappointments.

We can not take quitters.

We can not take losers.

We can not take idiots.

We cannot take unmitigated, unjustified arrogance.

We can not take the abject horror of watching what you currently advertise as effort.

If you aren't ready, if you can't handle the pressure, if you aren't motivated by any means to do better than what you are doing now, withdraw. Refuse the paycheck. It is insulting to people who are living in squalor in our own city to watch you get paid for this.

We are Saints fans. We aren't fans of whatever you think you call yourselves today.

Show up.

RE: Open Letter to the New Orleans Saints

I would have to say that is totally to the point and the feelings of all SAINTS fans.

I wear the BAG because I am ashamed that we pay money to a "team" that performs like this. I don't know of a business that would not fire management personnel over a loss of profit like that.

They have apparently quit......Why should we continue to support these BUMS!

FIRE EVERYBODY, AND START OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No more excuses. Now, it is the hurricane that distracts the players and staff and the disjointed season. Winners overcome adversity. Winners must have a plan and must prepare. Then be prepared to throw away the plan, improvise and overcome. The team is pathetic. Talent is wasted by the bucketfuls. No cohesion. Everyone is on a different page and showed up for a different game. How can grown men, so called professionals, make so many errors in a single game? Where is the concentration? Teams don't play that bad in the learning years of PeeWee football. If their minds are not on that 60 minutes on gameday, pray tell where is it focused? If you performed that poorly at your job you would be sacked. This team should be sacked. Bring in the J.V. team, second stringers, walk ons or all those the Saints let go thinking they weren't fast enough, big enough, smart enough or athletic enough. There must be waivers full and Euro league full of players who can do better than the GB game! I can hold on to the football and not fumble. Pleeeeezzz! Will the torture never end? Season after season. The Saints must have excuses staged for the next decade. Pull one out of the can. Something else was the reason they couldn't perform.
