If they keep him on the practice squad again, some other team is likely to poach him.

If pass rush is important, they need to elevate him ASAP

He can only be poached if he wants to be poached. I would imagine they have a plan to move him to the 53 man roster. The players we have lost recently from the practice squad had to agree to the move knowing they'd automatically be placed on the acquiring team's active roster. They knew no move up was imminent with the Saints.

I guess. Hope he helps (he was on the couch for a reason) but I doubt it.

At least someone in the FO had the common sense to see that pass rushing (minus Carl G) is a problem & addressed it.

Saints defense is old though.

Watching Lalos in the preseason got me all hopeful that the Saints had another pass rusher but he must not light it up in practices.

Hopefully, he's one of the guys who can develop with good coaching because he sure looks the part. The problem is.....we don't have good coaching

Re: Report: Jason Pierre-Paul agrees to terms with Saints

Nobody can say this regime is not always looking for answers. Cam Jordan is getting old, so we got Jason Pierre Paul to be the answer. Pete Carmichael is struggling with the offense, maybe we could bring in Ken Dorsey and Josh McDaniels to help him. Maybe if Kamara has a concussion we can call up Jahvid Best, or if our receivers keep getting arrested we can sign AB.

This being said, Pierre Paul may be able to contribute a bit as a rotational piece, but given his advanced age, lack of recent production, and borderline retirement, we should not expect much. This may be a Jimmy Graham type signing. Maybe he can teach the second rounder a move.

Defense is getting up there in age. But still have both Cameron Jordan and Demario Davis.

Re: Report: Jason Pierre-Paul agrees to terms with Saints

We have to make some changes to the playcalling. I as a fan shouldn't feel like I know he exact play we are about to run on the majority of the plays. We are way too vanilla on offense. Pete runs the offense like he has a handful of plays on Madden. He also has no concept of moving the chains and sustaining drives. When we get into enemy territory, we constantly stall out cause he doesn't know how to call plays down there to move the sticks.
