I heard the reasoning behind using Taysom in his regular role less when Carr went down is because of two factors;

1) The plays designed for him were designed to be executed with Carr in the game, not Winston. There are only limited snaps in practice and it is doubtful all plays designed for Carr/Hill would have also be practiced with Winston/Hill.

2) When Carr went out and Winston came in as the new #1 then Hill became the immediate backup. I've heard the conventional wisdom would be to avoid injury to your last option at QB.

If Carr was out this coming game Haener would certainly be activated and likely moved to backup opening Hill back up to his previous role having plays designed with Winston being practiced during the week.

Did anyone here ee the movie The Substitute with Tom Berenger? Now, that's my kind of substitute! Either that..... or a smokin hot teacher!
