OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
We suck. PERIOD.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
Out of five Redzone appearances, no touchdowns. I didn’t have any confidence going into this game, and this is exactly why. But hey, our quarterback got 300 yards passing. So he can blame it on everyone else for the loss. This team is trash. Lol.

We're soft

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
Maybe with this loss, Pete Carmichael will get fired. Lol. Yeah right.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
Same old, same old.
Waiting on some miracle. It didn't occur. |

It’s time to make changes from the top on down.
This team is bad. No need to “run this back” with Allen. His record is who he is. His defense is over rated as well. Make changes. |

Still in shock we just lost to ridder. I’m all in for the coaching change. He’s had enough time to make adjustments and fire the OC

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
If I were Loomis I'd be in the locker room telling Allen and Carmichael to find their own way back to NOLA and pack your bags and don't come back.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
The Good:
- more crossing routes and motion called by Pete and the reverse/sweep calls were solid - Bresee and the big guys in the middle getting deflections and being disruptive - Taysom Hill being better as a receiver than I could ever have thought - OL pass protection (though maybe because the Falcons pass rush was anemic) The Bad: - Carr outplayed by Ridder and Carr's INT was worse than Ridder's two. At least one of Ridder's INT's was more due to trash playing calling. - getting everyone and their brother hurt right AFTER the bye week - 1st and 10 and run to daylight up the middle for Kamara or Hill is NOT a professional playcall - Werner sucked vs the run, can't/won't hold the edge - DA's timeouts and game management were horrible. We basically gift wrapped the Falcons another TD before the half and were lucky with the red zone that bailed us out. - Honey Badger's INT's aside (two pretty easy ones) he and Maye continue to get exposed. The Really Bad: - Should have kept Shaheed out of the game once he was limping around. Instead he went back in and made it worse. Got a sinking feeling he'll by on IR to due to our in-game stupidity. - Carr throwing behind his receivers getting guys hurt and killing all YAC chances. |

Zero sacks.
You’re right Sinner, this team sucks. |
Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
With the all the advances in technology, maybe the we should set a new standard for a QB to return from concussion protocol. Instead of counting how many fingers you are holding up, they should have to put on one of those facebook meta headsets, watch a play from a QB perspective, and identify which receivers are open within 4 seconds. Based on this cognitive tests, Carr's concussion would be career ending and perhaps we could collect some insurance. Besides, its not really safe for a QB to return from concussion in the NFL if they can't do this, it puts them in danger of reinjury.
Carr's cognitive injuries and decline make playing football at NFL level dangerous not just for him but for all the players around him. His bad throws to spots where the receiver is not open caused injuries to our receivers today and caused one his own concussion. His slow and atrophied decision making caused injuries to our offensive line by asking them to hold their blocks longer than the plays are designed to allow. Carr is a danger to himself and others on the football field. |

I think it was Dizz who mentioned it during the game day thread
but I’ll be curious to see that film study on Derek Carr. All those throws BEHIND his WRs, horrible reads (pick 6) guys having to contort their bodies catching his hospital passes. Carr is looking like an expensive mistake at QB. I wouldn’t mind seeing Winston vs Detroit. At least he can score in the redzone. We need a spark. Mediocrity isn’t gonna work in the NFL. |

I will continue to reiterate that we should have gone with a bargain option at QB who could have been as good or better than Carr for a lot less money such as Mayfield, Minshew, Huntley, Love, etc. Mickey Loomis should have taken a lesson from his, DA's, and PC's mothers. Sometimes you can get what you want for a lot less than you think it will cost if you are willing to compromise a little on the aesthetics. |
Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
The NFC South was setup for us to rebuild and still compete, but Loomis decided to run it back with Allen and spend money on an average QB. Now we are another year behind and not getting any younger. I’m never a fan of losing and want a playoff appearance even if it means one and done, but reality is even if we were to sneak in it would only buy DA another year and I can’t sit through another year of this. Has to be the most poorly coached team in the league bar none.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
Not sure where to start after that performance!
There are so many things wrong with this team at the moment its hard to know where to begin! In fairness to the defence, they did their best I think but the years are starting to catch up with them now, especially against young mobile QB's Now we look to have a huge injury issue to deal with as well. Not going to mention the coaching as everyone has covered that subject over and over already. Also, to rub salt into the wound, we have the Lions next week! Good grief! I'll always be a die hard Saints fan, thats for sure but they really do test their fan base to the extreme! Oh well, Iv'e said my bit! GEAUX SAINTS! WHO DAT! :-) :-) |

Unlike Dennis and Mickey, at least I can I'm building a successful pro football program. Someone's gotta pick up the slack for the Saints.

I think you're not giving our coaching staff enough credit. I've heard they now moved onto Everybody Loves Raymond trivia. |
Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
Carr needs to be benched and deactivated for his remaining time in a Saints uniform. Loomis needs to take the fall for this mistake and the new GM can start the rebuilding process by hiring a completely new coaching staff.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
Kamara said in post game presser "instead of saying we need to be better after every loss, we need to actually find a fix and play better"
Sounds like a shot at DA's auto-response to me. If no one gets fired after this game, I will have lost a lot of respect for the management of this team. |

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
1. Fire Dennis Allen
2. Hire Ben Johnson | Jim Harbaugh | Eric Bieniemy | or Brian Flores 3. Allow them to rebuild the coaching staff. 4. Cut Carr and take whatever penalty that occurs. 5. Retain Winston as a placeholder. 6. Put all available resources into offensive and defensive line. 7. Draft Jayden Daniels | Michael Penix | or Drake Maye. 8. Pray for a quick turnaround. |

Allen is destroying this franchise. Side note - AK is getting close to that “30” year old mark. See what offers you could get in a trade. Let him explore the options on playing for a contender. It sure as hell won’t happen in New Orleans. No time soon. |

Knowing Loomis, if we tried to trade Kamara it would cause about $999,999,999,999,999,999.99 in dead money |
Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
We don’t know Dennis Allen’s exact contract. What if it follows our model of copying everything the Raiders do and the deal is 10 years $100 million?
|
Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM THE SAINTS LOSS TO THE FALCONS…
The Rams just went to 5-6. They did a big rebuild this offseason moving on from many expensive vets like Bobby Wagner, Jalen Ramsey, and Allen Robinson. Yet here they are with the same record as us in a tougher division.
