Observations from the Saints' Win vs Giants
Game ball to the defense, especially for not making DeVito look like an all-pro.
Grambeaux making a difference yet again. Makes you wonder why he wasn't utilized more earlier. DC4's average play was good enough today. With a real QB, we blow this team out. Refs sucked yet again. Need booth reviews for bad refs calls. Hard to believe we're three games away from winning the division. You look around the league this year, plenty of teams have losses. I wonder if gambling interests have taken a firmer grip on the league. Enjoy this win as we remain in first place in the NFC South. | |

Re: Observations from the Saints' Win vs Giants
Nice to see Carr play as expected against a bad team.
Still kind of concerned that we scored 7 points the entire first half and then seemed to come alive in the 2nd. After all, Dennis Allen said "half time adjustments are overrated." Yet his team continues to look better in 2nd half of every game |

Re: Observations from the Saints' Win vs Giants
I thought the game felt closer than the score until late in the 4th. And I know it was close for most of the game, but the Giants weren't doing anything offensively and the Saints couldn't pull away until the end.
That said, they got the win. |

Nice to see energy and all phases executing well. That was a team out there finally. Nice to see them play well.

Re: Observations from the Saints' Win vs Giants
Still not seeing the concepts I want on the offensive side of the ball. Defensively we still need another edge rusher. They won a game they were supposed to win, but they don’t always do that which is why our record is what it is. Seeing how they’re back to .500 they’ll probably lose the next two in typical DA fashion.

Re: Observations from the Saints' Win vs Giants
One downside, even in possibly Carr’s best week with the Saints, Mayfield plays better. Everyone who said to gamble on cheap Mayfield instead of expensive Carr was right. Tampa still has the edge on us, and is doing it WHILE rebuilding.

We won with most of the wr room hurt. I’ll take it. Not a great game played by no means but better than most games this year.

It was a game we were supposed to win. If they win out, perhaps it will change my mind about this dumpster fire of a season.
