OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
Pathetic. PERIOD.
|
Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
Just flat out poor play calling and game management. They are not using the weapons on offense. Coaching staff needs to go. Just poor freaking play calling across the board.
|
Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
The only reason it was only by 8 is because the Rams took their foot off the gas. Could have been much worse.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
I don’t know how y’all can stand looking at Dennis Allen’s face anymore. Seriously.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
The problem is we have a mediocre team with a mediocre QB. Cap situation is what it is. It's time to bite the bullet, and have a bad year or two to reset the cap and rebuild. No one will like it, but it's what needs to be done.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
You forgot we have a terrible HC who does not know how to win at
situational football. The Saints will NEVER become true contenders until Dennis Allen is gone. We’re too afraid to make changes & you see the result. |

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
I hope someone in the press starts calling DA out and asking the tough questions and not treating the fans like idiots. The right people are not in the building and these guys need to start asking the tough questions and pushing for more answers. We are not idiots yet they continue to try and convince us we are. Starting to wonder if this administration is being run by the Biden camp.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
- The call to go for it before the half on 4th and 5 with a bum play call instead of punting was the obvious backbreaker
- Not finding a way to get Taysom involved was criminal. He needed more plays at HB and WR/TE. - Carr's accuracy wasn't too bad tonight until it went awry after halftime. And he didn't get the weird jittery thing as much. But he still needs to step up in the pocket, it was wide open all night to step up in the pocket or scramble to salvage the play. - OL pass blocking wasn't too bad all things considered, but the run-blocking has become a big nothingburger. - Pass rush was horrid. Granderson was running on fumes on a short week, and Cam is a shell of his former self (with the ankle partially to blame). - Our block-shedding on run support was terrible. It was never more evident than the Puka run where he broke Adebo's tackle and even with his momentum stopped no one could get off a darn block. - Lousy vanilla play calls on 4th downs where we needed better calls or just not go for it. - We don't use near enough motion on our offense. - Adebo and Jordan Howden and our special teams (punt block) seem to be only bright spots I can think of. |

Taysom should be starting QB without question.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
Nah this is bad. At every level.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Terry Bradshaw, (insert your QB here) could not play well behind that O-Line.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
I’ve been a Saints fan for over 40 years. Wore bag on my head, was there for first playoff game in ‘87. Was in Chicago for first NFC championship, saw Hakim drop the ball, and the Nola no call. However, I have never been as angry at this team and organization as I am right now. Bree’s and Payton never had a roster this talented in all there years and this bozo coach and stiff at QB can’t even win games with this POS schedule. Horrible, terrible, sickening.

O-line is not great no question, however when your QB refuses to move up in the pocket or out of the pocket to avoid some pressure it makes line look that much worse. How many times did Stafford old ass leave the pocket tonight and make throws. Line doesn’t look half bad when your QB can do that.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
Same old questions. “Hey coach what went into your decision making on that 4th down call”? Ok great answer coach, have a great day.
Man this staff really has me pissed tonight. I very seldom ever post in here. Thanks for letting me vent guys. |
Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
Probably not the popular opinion but Alvin Kamara looks like he's checked out on this team and coach.
Don't be surprised if he requests a trade in the off season. |
Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
And I don’t blame him. Sorry, I know that’s not a popular statement and every player should play hard every play, but at some point when you are an employee and your manager sucks you kinda lose the drive to work for the company.

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
I hope 8 points is enough to at least pull out a nail to aim at the coffin. Was happier when the margin was wider.
Only two more losses to go. Have faith we can do this. |

30-7 in the 4th quarter.
Out-matched across the board. Time for change. |

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
Remember that this game was mismanaged and poorly coached from the moment that they went for it on 4th down with a minute left in the 1st half.
Saints (thankfully) were only down by 3 and had a win within reach. Bad coaching decisions from there on out. I've seen enough. Merry Christmas. |
Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
In my opinion, this game showed the difference between a 7-7 team in arguably the toughest division, versus a 7-7 team in a pancake division with the easiest schedule in the league.
We were hilariously outmatched and I wish the Rams didn't take their foot off the gas. Same complaints about this team as I've had since the beginning. DA has to go. Carr is just immobile and inaccurate - seriously that pick, he threw the exact same one Vs Carolina in week 2, with the exact same result. Defense is old, gets gashed by running backs and DB's had no answer for their WR's. Far, Far too easy for Rams offense. |

I have a hard time believing that the large majority of fans don’t feel the same way. At times it starts to feel like you’re throwing **** in everyone else’s face about something that they agree with you on. Aside from Queefo, I’m not sure who wants this coaching staff to remain in place, but they are few and far between. |

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
That pass to Foster for a first down was absolute ****, (3rd quarter I think)? Luckily Foster managed to wheel it in. Carr is his own worst enemy. I had such high hopes for him. Last nights game sealed the deal for me. But hey.... Who Dat till I die!:bng:

Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
We've committed over 45 million dollars to the quarterback position this season.
We signed Williams who we don't use. We drafted Miller who has been a waste of a draft pick. This game was a lot uglier than the final score. The problems have always started at the top. I think it’s pretty much a given both Allen and Carmichael are living on borrowed time. But can we really trust the front office to make the right hires? 2009 was a long time ago. The time for a fresh start all the way around has been overdue for quite a few years now. |
Re: OBSERVATIONS FROM SAINTS (PRIMETIME WITH PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS) LOSS TO THE RAMS
I knew it would be bad when the Rams went on a 95 yard td drive 😳.

As a 10 year vet QB, he should know better. What's also baffling is that our coaches gave Sean McVay's offense good field position with all 3 timeouts remaining. This turned in to a 10 point lead, and the Rams got the ball back to start the 2nd half & more momentum. This ^^ is exactly what I'm referring to when I say Allen has no situational football awareness. |
