Even 100% injured that is more valuable than all these 'stick with the plan, we have the right guys, lets sport wood and chop microwaves' guys DA is assembling.

It's cool that your son plays music in clubs with TVs. A lot of other people have kids who hobbies and interests involve places without TVs, like kids who want to go camping or go to amusement parks. At this point, I am not holding any dates in January for the Saints, because reality.

I went to every game I could when I lived near New Orleans. Except I probably did skip some of the 2005 games because I got fed up with Haslett. I have the same feeling this year. Its a shame that after that year the team forced out Arnie Fielkow who publicly wanted to keep the team in New Orleans and kept Mickey Loomis who had his finger in the wind and was trying to cozy up to Rita and assure his power if the team went to San Antonio.

All of the best clubs on Broadway in Nashville have TV's. Jason Aldean's, Luke Bryan's, FGL House, Miranda Lambert's Casa Rosa, Hank Jr's, etc. Not sure about people that perform as a hobby having TV access.

At 31 he is well past the days of amusement parks, but he and his wife have camped in the Tennessee mountains. :D

DA says Ramcyzk's knee could be a concern going into the season. Knee isn't where everyone was hoping it would be following knee surgery.

Ramz needs to call it a career.

This is not looking as if Ramz is going to have a choice, this is not good. It's very interesting that Michael Thomas has chimed in about what basically amounts to an incompetent medical staff and how DA is covering that up. Hummmm

If we don't someone will pay him. Almost every team is in need of tackles these days.

One of the best OT draft in a long time - PFF

Let's draft 4 and let them duke it out. Unless more cap is cleared or we trade Lattimore for a tackle it's our only choice. Ram's knee is toast and barring a miracle turnaround Penning is not an option.

I'll bet you money that Penning will earn a starting spot. ;)

I am just going to throw this out here even though it is sad to say in some ways. If the sole goal of the Saints front office was to win as many games as possible and get as much offensive production as possible without trading future 1st round picks or nuking the salary cap, there could be another option to improve at the offensive tackle position. While trading Lattimore is not going to get us anywhere with finding a tackle because he is already overpaid for his availability and ability, Lattimore is not the only player the Saints control on their roster. Although it would be a major blow to the team to trade an asset like Paulson Adebo or Chris Olave, their backups are much much better than Ryan Ramczyk or Andrus Peat's backups, and they would carry real trade value that could potentially net the Saints a young starting tackle or a high draft pick to acquire one. Of course one would rather trade Lattimore or Kamara, etc, but aging veterans on expensive contracts do not have as much trade value as name recognition. Bresee could be another option. If another NFL GM takes the positive view that his 2023 sack total was impressive and not the negative view that his PFF scores were mediocre and he is still listed as a backup, perhaps they would trade a late 1st round pick or starting tackle for him.

Perry or Taylor may not be great, but they sound a lot better as starters than Penning or Young.

Would you like to bet money on the Saints record in those starts? We can take any regular season games Penning starts in 2024. If he starts none, or the Saints go .500 in his starts, its a wash. If the Saints are over .500 in his starts you win. If they are under, I win. $100?

The Saints actually were 3-2 with Penning starting in 2023 so you could look at this as a good bet. However, the 3 wins came 3 of the 7 worst teams in the NFL by 2023 record, and two were won by a field goal or less.
