Yet, no coaches have lost their job yet? Mr. Blank fired Arthur Smith before he could locate his luggage at the Atlanta Airport  Hell, I'm surprised Fontenot is still the GM. Enough is enough with the rah rah speeches from Allen on how "we need to get better", "we keep fighting", yet he has no real plan. What else does Loomis need to see? |
Re: The Final TD, DA's Lack of Authority, and the Consequence of Salary Cap Paralysis
As i have said before, nobody worth there getting will want the job. To mould this into there team they will need 2 or 3 years with the cap issues and still trading away pick after pick every year. The schedule next year looks much harder on paper
HOME Denver Broncos Philadelphia Eagles Los Angeles Rams Cleveland Browns Las Vegas Raiders Washington Commanders Atlanta Falcons Carolina Panthers Tampa Bay Buccaneers AWAY Dallas Cowboys Kansas City Chiefs Green Bay Packers Los Angeles Chargers New York Giants Atlanta Falcons Carolina Panthers Tampa Bay Buccaneers That could easy turn into disaster of a season unless they manager to draft extremely well and find some UDFA gems. So without cap space, an ageing roster and not many picks most coaches will take up better oppotunities than taking on a job that they may get fired from just as they are in a position to turn them around. If he doesn't make the playoffs next year a new coach will probably look and see a top 10 pick and hopefully a slightly better cap situation |
Re: The Final TD, DA's Lack of Authority, and the Consequence of Salary Cap Paralysis
I have many thoughts on the play but the main thing that stands out the most to me is this….upon DAs hire, I remember him talking big sh*t about how he was gonna build essentially a mentally and physically tough team. That being said, to chose to kneel it, on the one yard line at that, especially against that team, is soft and is counterproductive of the tone that you claim you want to instill in your team, especially after the season we had. I have no doubt Sean would’ve ran in down their f**king throat
I lost any respect I had left for him for his decision to kneel it as well as how he handled it afterwards. Next season will be interesting… |

Dennis Allen apologies to the Falcons. That alone should get him blacklisted at ever restaurant in New Orleans including Taco Bell and McDonalds.

When I saw them line up in the chicken**** "victory" formation I was pissed, but then when they ran it and scored our whole section exploded. Screw the Failclowns and Arthur Smith's fat ass.
Who Dat!! :bng: I wanted them to go for two. LOL! |

It could also be very entertaining if the players open rebellion continues with the open acknowledgement that the Saints cap situation ties their hands. The team could just run whatever plays they like. If Carr doesn't respect the teams vote, nobody blocks for Carr. Carmichael can go get Winston some coffee. |

That 100% shows a guy that does not have his teams back. Not a leader and certainly not good enough to be a head coach. Absolute pretender. |
Re: The Final TD, DA's Lack of Authority, and the Consequence of Salary Cap Paralysis
I will add that although I really didnt like DAs decision to kneel it, and I understand why the team chose to override the play, I don’t fully condone how they did it, mainly because players on the other side that aren’t expecting it can get seriously injured. It reminds me of when former Bucs coach Greg Schiano used to pull that crap, but on the defensive side of the ball. I get you play to the whistle, but wasn’t a big fan of that.
I just wish DA had the balls to just run it in and make a statement, especially if by some chance you make it into the playoffs, that would be a nice way to get your team primed up to at least try and make a run |
