It's crazy (then again maybe not) Philly ran Andy Reid outta town.

History tells us that you MUST either have an ELITE DEFENSE, special teams and most importantly a BIG TIME QB to sniff a Super Bowl.

Niners had opportunities though.

Chiefs are back to back champs, congrats!

Saints have work to do.

I was waiting for what looked like an outplayed Chiefs to pull a precise trigger, and they did exactly that.
COACHING and QB play was masterful when it mattered most.

Add to that, the entertainment and advertising connection (conspiracy?) with Nickelodeon and the Swift factor in the house, and their win was guaranteed.

Good game. Good win.

I feel like Detroit would've blown out KC if they made the Super Bowl and KC was this flat in the first half. Missed opportunity.

I'm glad KC won because it wasn't the 49ers but it feels like one of the flukiest repeats in NFL history. Outside of the Jennings TD pass that first half was ugly football. KC looked bored like they were at the laundromat waiting for their clothes to dry. Not like the Cowboys or Broncos repeats which felt entertaining and well-played.

Almost felt “staged”, or measured… I told my Wife in the first quarter, Reid and Mahomes will probably win this one at the end of the game in less than spectacular fashion. The Commercial Advertisers did very well in this one.
Going to be a big year for the merger of Sports, Pop Music, Nickelodeon and A.I.
“Shop like a Billionaire”.

Impressive.

Excuses are running out for the 10-year Carmaxx QB.

I’m entertaining the idea that Kyle Shanahan > Dennis Allen.

Or is it Kyle Shanahan >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dennis Allen? lol

Honestly, having McCaffery in the backfield helps every QB.

49ers DL dominated that first half and disappeared after the Chiefs made adjustments. Man Chris Jones was disruptive. It probably wouldn't have been a snooze fest or even a close game had they feed Kelce in the first half.

If you have ever lived in the Philly region and listened to the daily insanity of their fans on Sports Talk Radio (they have 2 stations, 24/7) then you have no idea the idiocy that drives popular opinion in that city. Basically, they honestly believed that Reid was a good coach, but not 'good enough' to win the Lombardi! Same thing with Petersen (the ONLY coach to lead them to a title, BTW) He had a couple so-so seasons and they ran him out of town too!

Some of the MANY reasons that I refused to buy into Philly Phandom growing up. ;)

Fo some reason, Shanahan decided that he wasn't going to let CMC touch the ball until the 4th. Kid was gassed and banged up, but he was legit the best player on their team.

Sinner nailed it....
Two Observations:

That ridiculous outfit/suit Kelce chose to wear before the game was gay.

Kelce's WWE style rant after the game was pathetic and gay...

:beatnik:

3 out of 5. Best QB in the game. Best coach in the game.

Who knows? Next year it could be New Orleans. We went 8-8 in 2008 before winning the Super bowl with a 13-3 record. Yeah. Yeah. I now we suck. How is that possible? The answer is Kubiak bringing some swagger to training camp next year could fire up this team, which is on the west coast this summer and the change of scenery could be good for the boys.

I am cautiously optimistic again about the future of the franchise and have hope for the future after such a disappointing season last year. I can't help but feel like the people who don't see that the future looks bright are being Debbie downers, and aren't giving the new personnel a chance to change the direction of the Saints back to Super bowl contenders.

Edit: Hopefully, everyone gets to enjoy the ride this year and the board goes back to being fun again. I remember being excited about logging onto the bng rather than the feeling I have now when I have a certain amount of trepidation about how tense the place will be. :peace:

I feel a little optimistic about the hiring of Kubiak and the revamped offensive staff, however im still pretty reserved in my optimism as a whole due to the fact that we have a head coach that not only has underwhelmed with two teams to this point, but looks like he has lost a good part of this team with that defiant play call against taking a knee in the last game. Doesn’t sit well with me.
Actions speak louder than words. Show me you can lead this team to a productive season and building a true contender and I’ll buy in. Last two seasons I bought in and feel like a fool for it.
I too would like this board to be fun again, but as long as things are the way they are, I will be real with how I feel about it. I’ve been on other Saints boards and read comments on my fb feed when saints related articles pop up and it’s all the same everywhere else for the most part as it is here. Most of us are frustrated because of where we were and where we are now, and it’s mainly because of mismanagement imo

I remember being excited even when Drew was in decline, strapping myself in for the emotional roller coaster that was a Saints Game with SP still on the sidelines. Anything still seemed possible. That thrill is long gone.

People need to be less annoyed with loyal fans expressing our understandable disappointment, and channel the annoyance to the mismanagement that is disappointing us.
