New offensive philosophy
The Saints have a great opportunity right in front of them. It is obvious that recent game plans have failed in a big way. Now that Deuce is out for the year, it is perfect timing to adjust the game plan. The basic formation should be 3 WR's, no TE, and a split backfield for FB and HB. This formation should eliminate the 8 and 9 defensive fronts. If a defense wants to still go 8, then Brooks will have one on one coverage with 3 WR's. If a defense wants to double WR's, then our new guy Chatman will hit them in the mouth. I am kind of excited about our new RB Chatman. This dude is only 5'8, and is 245 lbs. This dude should be able to knock some "chest" off of most defenders. I only hope he is a starter in a couple weeks. As much as I like Stecker and Smith, I think this dude will be much better. Just a gut feeling, and not a bad trade for a conditional 7th round pick.
Guys, the season is still only 2-3. Things are not over yet. Let's give a big cheer for ya "New Orleans Saints"!!! |

Good point Chaching... Brooks can be deadly, but that's usually only in small doses. Putting the ball in his hands 50 times a game will usually result in game-ruining effects. It's easy to say we should line up three WRs with a RB and FB, but that's easier said then done because they know our running game will be far less effective without a Deuce McAllister in the backfield so they will be keying on Brooks.

How hard is it to "key" on Brooks? He's a moron.

We have got to get it out of our minds that up and down weeks are not good enough. I tired of 8-8.
Yes, we are 2-3 right now and to an outsider that may not seem bad. I semi-see the point in that. However, Just beating Atlanta and a couple of other teams will not solve any of our problems. Brooks is too easy of a target right now to make, well, fun of (for the lack of a better word). I do think we need to go to a three WR set but with Horn, Stallworth and Henderson. Maybe this new RB will do as said and BUST THE HELL OUT OF SOME D-LINEMAN. Who knows what will happen. Strap in guys, its going to be one hell of a ride. WWWWEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
